Xbox Game Pass continues to be some of the best bang for the buck in gaming. As Phil Spencer and Xbox strategize towards being more than just a console, Microsoft keeps adding to the Xbox Game Pass platform.

The launch of the Xbox Series X is in November, and leading up to that release, Microsoft is giving players more reasons to jump into the Xbox ecosystem. New games are coming to Xbox Game Pass, including Resident Evil 7.

Xbox Game Pass includes over 200 games for the Xbox One, and soon Xbox Series X. The service became an enticing choice for Xbox games when it was announced that all first-party games come to Xbox Game Pass on day one. But there are also tons of third-party and indie games that make the service worth it for many, and very soon more of those will be added.

The official Xbox Game Pass Twitter page tweeted out today that new entries are on the way. While the highest-selling Resident Evil game of all time, Resident Evil 7 tops the list, other solid titles are also on the way.

For Xbox Game Pass subscribers, Microsoft Flight Simulator is available today on PC, while Spirtfarer is out now on PC and console. The long-awaited new Battletoads will launch on August 20 for PC and console, as will Don’t Starve: Giant Edition, with Crossing Souls and Darksiders: Genesis on the PC. On August 21, New Super Lucky’s Tale will be on Game Pass on the PC and console. Hypnospace Outlaw and Tell Me Why: Chapter 1 will release on the service on August 27 for PC and console, followed by Double Kick Heroes and Wasteland 3 the next day. Crusader Kings 3 hits PC on September 1. And the frontrunner of the list, RE7, rounds off the games by coming on September 3 for PC and console.

To coincide with the continual push for Xbox Game Pass from Microsoft, players will soon be able to log into one Xbox account on multiple devices at a time. While they cannot play games simultaneously on each device, they will be able to watch something like Netflix on an Xbox One while playing brand new games on the Xbox Series X.

Xbox Game Pass has been a net positive for game sales, contrary to what some may believe. Even when a game is available on Game Pass for free with the subscription, players are still purchasing the game completely on other devices or perhaps when it leaves Game Pass. More people play the game when it is free with a subscription, and then others who may not have Game Pass are more likely to buy it to see what all the buzz is about. This could perhaps be one of the reasons so many great third-party and indie games join the platform.

As the next generation of gaming is right around the corner, the competition between Sony and Xbox is again heating up. The seemingly endless amount of games on Game Pass is one area that the Xbox Series X has an advantage.
