As many gamers already know, Xbox Game Pass isn’t a console-only party. Real-time strategy game Age of Empires 4 launched day one on Xbox Game Pass for PC, and the upcoming Warhammer: Total War 3 does the same in February. Other games like Bethesda’s Starfield and Redfall are confirmed to launch on Game Pass for both PC and console.

Those aren’t the only titles confirmed to launch on Game Pass from day one, and it seems that the subscription service is about to get a few more. A recent tweet from the Game Pass for PC Twitter account revealed that Microsoft plans to announce four more during The Game Awards on December 9th.

The tweet itself shows a screenshot of an email from “Melissa McGamepass” to Game Pass’ social media managers listing PC games set to launch on Game Pass. The first of two lists shows the already announced Total War: Warhammer 3, Redfall, Starfield, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, Atomic Heart, Slime Rancher 2, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Pupperazzi, Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, Replaced, Somerville, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, and Scorn. The second list is heavily redacted but shows four unannounced games coming to Game Pass for PC. Microsoft will reveal these titles during The Game Awards this Thursday.

It’s not clear from the tweet what those four titles might be or whether they are PC exclusives. All four games may have already been announced for PC, Xbox, or other platforms. It’s also equally possible that some or all are new unannounced projects. All that fans really know is the general length of the titles concealed behind red bars, which isn’t that much to go on.

In addition to announcing the upcoming announcements, the Tweet also contained an easter egg for eagle-eyed fans. Tweaking the color balance reveals a hidden message saying, “If you’re the first person to edit this photo, congrats to you here’s a code.” Unfortunately for anyone just finding out, it looks like someone already redeemed the code, though it doesn’t appear that they’ve yet to come forward to reveal what the secret prize was.

This effectively leaves two mysteries for fans to figure out. Multiple studios will announce or reveal new games during Thursday’s awards show. These include a secret MMO project from a former Dragon Age developer, a new Sonic game, and whatever Mortal Combat developer NetherRealm has been working on. It’s possible that one or all of these could be on the way to Xbox Game Pass soon, though gamers won’t know for sure until The Game Awards later this week.

The Game Awards 2021 premieres on December 9th at 5:00 PM PST.
