Xbox Game Pass has confirmed its "wave 2" of games coming in October 2023, most of which have been previously revealed. However, there are two new games on the list, and one of them is the well-reviewed Dead Space remake. It will be available on Xbox Game Pass (via EA Play) on October 26, arriving just in time for Halloween.
The Dead Space remake was applauded by fans and critics alike earlier this year, which isn't an easy feat given some serious tweaks were made to the beloved, original game. Still, it earned "Mighty" reviews on aggregate site OpenCritic, with the Top Critic Average being 89 and 97% of critics recommending the title. And now fans who skipped out on it earlier this year will get to check it out at the cost of their Game Pass subscription service, with it worth noting that the game will be available via the Cloud, on PC Game Pass, and on the Xbox Series X/S.
Best Multiplayer Games On Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass features a trove of multiplayer titles, both competitive and co-op. These are the best of them.
The other new Xbox Game Pass title alongside Dead Space is F1 Manager 2023, which came out even more recently than Dead Space. This sports management and racing game launched in August, featuring all 23 tracks of the season. Although different in many ways, it's definitely a peculiar addition to come so close after Forza Motorsport's release on Xbox Game Pass.

No matter what, it's clearly a strong ending to October, with Dead Space acting as the headlining title. The fact that it comes so close to Halloween is definitely intentional and is the icing on the cake. Of course, Xbox Game Pass isn't one to rest on its laurels, with more to come in November. PlateUp!, Thirsty Suitors, Football Manager 2024, Dungeons 4, Like a Dragon Gaiden, and Persona 5 Tactica are all coming to Xbox Game Pass in November, with more likely to be confirmed as the month comes ever closer.
Of course, some games have to leave to make room for more. On October 31, Xbox Game Pass is losing five games: Gunfire Reborn, Kill It with Fire, Persona 5 Royal, Signalis, and Solasta Crown of the Magister.
