Highlights

  • Xbox Game Pass has had a strong lineup of games in recent months, but it's starting to slow down, with November needing more heavy hitters to keep the streak going.
  • The most anticipated games coming to Xbox Game Pass in November are Persona 5 Tactica and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, but there are also some smaller indies like PlateUp! that could be highlights.
  • While there's little chance of Activision-Blizzard games coming to Xbox Game Pass soon, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and more games could be a great addition before the end of the year.

Xbox Game Pass has been on a bit of a hot streak recently. Really kicking off back in August with games like Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sea of Stars, and Age of Empires 4, Xbox Game Pass' impressive output hasn't really slowed down yet, with September bringing hits like Starfield and Lies of P, and October adding Forza Motorsport, Gotham Knights, and Dead Space. But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Xbox Game Pass does look like it's starting to apply the brakes, though Game Pass still has some big hitters scheduled for November.

There are seven games currently confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in November 2023. While Persona 5 Tactica and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name are probably the two most anticipated Xbox Game Pass drops of November, there are a few smaller indies heading to the service as well, with PlateUp! looking like it could be a potential highlight this month. But while November has the makings of a solid month for Xbox Game Pass, it could use a few more heavy hitters to really keep its hot streak going.

Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: Hogwarts Legacy

A Dragon standing in front of the character in hogwarts legacy

The highest-selling game of 2023 so far, and likely the one that'll retain that top spot by the time the year is out, Hogwarts Legacy would be an absolute dream to have on Xbox Game Pass. Though the series' creator is campaigning for controversial politics, her lack of creative involvement in Hogwarts Legacy does give the game a small degree of separation. And that's for the best, as what's actually inside Hogwarts Legacy is certainly worth experiencing for any Harry Potter fan. With a Nintendo Switch port slated to release this month, Hogwarts Legacy will undoubtedly be back in the conversation once again, and Warner Bros. might as well double down on that with an Xbox Game Pass release as well.

Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: RoboCop: Rogue City

Surprisingly one of the more anticipated games of November, RoboCop: Rogue City is the ideal candidate for Xbox Game Pass this month. Just showcased during the recent, new Xbox Partner Preview eventRoboCop: Rogue City is an unashamed love letter to the 1980s action franchise, filled with tongue-in-cheek satire and plays on conventional RPG tropes. The only thing holding RoboCop back is its lofty price point, which is something Xbox Game Pass could definitely fix.

Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: Dredge

Still being talked about seven whole months after its release, Dredge is definitely in the front-running for Indie Game of the Year at 2023's Game Awards. A cozy fishing game with a gorgeous art style and eerie Lovecraftian twist, Dredge might not make it to Xbox Game Pass in time for Halloween, but there's a hopeful chance it could be there in November. And with it getting a big DLC expansion this month, there's never been a better time for Dredge to come to Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

While Xbox has clearly stated that Activision-Blizzard games won't be coming to Xbox Game Pass too soon, there's still a little bit of hope that fans could start seeing some classic games arrive on the service before the end of the year, though admittedly the chances are very slim. But if any Activision game should come to Xbox Game Pass, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy would be a great first pick.
