Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom - The Prince’s Edition is available via Xbox Game Pass right now. The popular JRPG was announced for Xbox Game Pass a few weeks ago, together with a few other titles, such as Valheim and Civilization 6, which are already playable right now, too.
Starting in 2017, the Xbox Game Pass became the main subscription service offered by Microsoft’s Xbox. It brings players several new games each month, and they are able to play these games as much as they want, as long as they are still in the catalog. Gamers who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass currently have access to Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom - The Prince’s Edition starting today. This version of the game comes with all previously released DLC, as well as quality-of-life improvements. Previously, the game was not available for Xbox users at all, as it was released only for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but that changes today with the launch of this new version on the platform.
Ni no Kuni 2 is one of the biggest hits of the Japanese developer Level-5, which is also known for games such as Dragon Quest 8 and Yo-Kai Watch. A prequel to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, the action JRPG tells the story of Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a king who lost his castle and is currently trying to build a new kingdom. He eventually founds Roland Crane, the president of an unnamed Earth country who was sent to another world, and they both take on the challenges of the game together. Ni no Kuni 2 has countless side quests and many secrets, which allows gamers to spend over 60 hours playing it if they follow the extra content.
At the end of March, Xbox Game Pass will lose seven games. So, gamers who want to play them, should skip Ni no Kuni 2 for the moment and focus on them. The titles leaving the service include A Memoir Blue, Chinatown Detective Agency, Clustertruck, Double Dragon Neon, Kraken Academy!!, MLB The Show 22, and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. Players who want to continue playing these games can still purchase them directly from the Xbox Store, where Game Pass subscribers get a 20% discount.
