Microsoft has officially pulled the curtain back on the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the second half of July 2023. The first wave of Xbox Game Pass games for July 2023 were announced at the beginning of the month and sprinkled over the following two weeks, giving subscribers the chance to check out a nice variety of games.

One of the most notable new Xbox Game Pass game additions for the first half of July 2023 was day one game Exoprimal. Exoprimal is a unique PvPvE shooter game with dinosaurs developed by Capcom. Capcom itself has been on a big roll as of late, though the reaction to Exoprimal has been mixed. Regardless, it's always exciting when a day one game is added to Xbox Game Pass, as those are the titles that really help subscribers get their money's worth.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have one more day one game to look forward to in July 2023 in the form of Venba, a narrative cooking game, hitting consoles and PC on July 31. Preceding Venba will be Maquette on July 19, Figment 2: Creed Valley and The Wandering Village on July 20, and the standalone expansion Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem on July 25.

  • Maquette (Consoles/PC) - July 19
  • Figment 2: Creed Valley (Cloud/Consoles/PC) - July 20
  • The Wandering Village (Cloud/Consoles/PC) - July 20
  • Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem (Cloud/PC/Xbox Series X) - July 25
  • Venba (Consoles/PC) - July 31

Maquette is a rather interesting addition to the Xbox Game Pass lineup because it was previously a PlayStation console exclusive. And not only that, but it was a day one PS Plus game when it released in 2021. The first-person puzzle game eventually made the jump to the Nintendo Switch, and now it's coming to Xbox through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Maquette earned mixed reviews, but Xbox Game Pass subscribers can judge it for themselves when it's added to the lineup on July 19.

The Wandering Village is another game that Game Pass subscribers will want to keep an eye on when it comes to the new additions for July 2023. Already available on Steam in early access, The Wandering Village is a city building game where players take care of a civilization living on the back of a giant creature. It's an interesting twist on the genre and should make for a fine addition to the Xbox Game Pass lineup come July 20.
