Microsoft's subscription offering has, on average, received one Warhammer game per year since 2020. The other games based on the popular IP that previously made its way to Microsoft's service have remained on it for at least a year. But Boltgun's stint on the platform may end up being even longer, not least because this release is published by Focus Entertainment. Namely, most of the titles that the French publisher brought to Xbox Game Pass in the past have stayed on the service for at least 18 months, as was the case with the likes of SnowRunner, GreedFall, and the two A Plague Tale games.
While Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is the first March 2024 addition to Xbox Game Pass, it will be far from the last. Microsoft's content catalog has already confirmed to be adding four more titles over the course of the month: Lightyear Frontier, MLB The Show 24, Diablo 4, and Open Roads. Diablo 4 is a particularly eye-catching item on that list, not least because it will be the first Activision Blizzard game to reach the service since the developer-publisher was acquired by Microsoft in a blockbuster $68.7 billion deal back in October.
