Xbox Game Pass Is Losing at Least 3 Games on March 15

The Xbox Game Pass subscription service is losing at least three games in March 2024, but it's possible more will be on the chopping block.

The first March addition to Xbox Game Pass debuted earlier today in the form of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Shortly thereafter, Microsoft shared its updated content roadmap, revealing four more titles that will reach its subscription service this month. The newly confirmed arrivals are Control Ultimate Edition, No More Heroes 3, PAW Patrol World, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. This quartet of titles will be added to the Xbox Game Pass library over the seven-day period ending March 14.

PAW Patrol World is the most age-accessible of the newly confirmed lot, as well as the next to have its Xbox Game Pass debut, which is scheduled for this Thursday, March 7. Another family-friendly open-world action adventure will reach the service just five days later in the form of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. Developed by Purple Lamp Studios, this 2020 title is a remake of Heavy Iron Studios' 2003 game of the same name, sans the "Rehydrated" part.

Control, the award-winning 2019 action adventure from Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment, is then set to grace the subscription service on March 13. Although many Xbox Game Pass titles are offered to Microsoft's subscribers without DLC, that won't be the case with this release. Specifically, the service will receive the content-complete Control Ultimate Edition, which includes both of the game's expansions and some previously released extras like the Expeditions DLC.

The last of the newly confirmed additions to Xbox Game Pass is No More Heroes 3, which will arrive on March 14. The stylish action game was originally released as a timed Switch exclusive in August 2021 before making its way to PC and consoles ten months later. Microsoft has previously confirmed four other titles set to reach Xbox Game Pass in the second half of March, but even more could be revealed in a few weeks' time, as the final third of the month is currently looking a little barren in terms of new releases.
