Xbox Game Pass is said to lose five games in May 2023 as Microsoft updates the library of games available to subscribers. Xbox Game Pass members get a handful of games every month, including first-party games and some third-party titles as day one additions to the catalog.

Six games are joining Xbox Game Pass in May 2023 as day one releases, including Amnesia: The Bunker, Ravenlok, Railway Empire 2, and more. These titles are spread out over the course of the month, giving users a new game to try out after every few days. While Microsoft regularly adds new games to the Xbox Game Pass collection, it also removes some titles every month, as five games are now confirmed to leave the subscription service in May 2023.

Five games left the Xbox Game Pass library on April 30, as Bugsnax, Dragon Quest Builders 2, and Tetris Effect: Connected left the service among others. An additional seven games were removed from Xbox Game Pass on April 15, with Life is Strange: True Colors, Rainbow Six Extraction, The Long Dark, and more leaving the service.

As a part of the monthly refresh, Xbox Game Pass added a bunch of new games in April 2023, including Ghostwire: Tokyo, Minecraft Legends, Medieval Dynasty, and many more. It’ll be interesting to see what titles replace the ones leaving in May 2023 when Microsoft updates the lists of games coming to Xbox Game Pass later in the month.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers should note that they can now start playing Microsoft’s latest AAA release Redfall at no extra cost. Redfall is a first-person shooter developed by Arkane Austin, the developers behind 2017’s Prey, although it appears to have received mixed reviews from critics. It looks like gamers are experiencing a wide variety of issues with the game, which has resulted in Redfall getting review bombed shortly after its worldwide launch.
