Microsoft has officially revealed the games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of October 2023. A new month means new additions to the Xbox Game Pass lineup, and while previous announcements already clued fans in on some of the games they could expect to see these next couple of weeks, Microsoft still has some surprises in store.
First off, two of the Xbox Game Pass games for October 2023 are available as of right now. Co-op brawler Gotham Knights is now available to Game Pass subscribers across the cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X. Gotham Knights earned mixed reviews when it first released, but perhaps gamers will be more forgiving towards it if they play it through their subscription instead of having to buy it outright. Day one game The Lamplighters League is also available now for the same platforms, giving subscribers a new XCOM-inspired turn-based strategy game to play.
New Xbox Game Pass Game is Being Review Bombed
A new Xbox Game Pass game with rave reviews from critics is being review bombed by some upset Xbox gamers.
As far as the rest of the new Xbox Game Pass games for October 2023, subscribers can look forward to Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on the cloud and Xbox Series X beginning October 4. A co-op first-person shooter game, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been available to play on PC Game Pass for about a year now. For console gamers, though, it may as well be classified as a day one game.

The biggest day one Xbox Game Pass games for October 2023 is undoubtedly Forza Motorsport, which is set to join the Xbox Game Pass lineup on October 10. The latest installment in the critically-acclaimed racing game franchise, this new Forza Motorsport has been seven years in the making, so expectations are especially high.
Twin-stick shooter game From Space will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on October 12, while Like a Dragon: Ishin is coming to the service on October 17. Previous release date announcements have confirmed some of the Xbox Game Pass games coming in the second half of October as well, even though they weren't spotlighted by Microsoft in its latest announcement post. These games include the PC version of Cities: Skylines 2 on October 24, Mineko's Night Market on October 26, Headbangers: Rhythm Royale on October 31, and Jusant on October 31.
While there are plenty of new Xbox Game Pass games to look forward to in October 2023, there are also some games getting removed from the service this month. In fact, there are six Xbox Game Pass games leaving on October 15, so subscribers should be sure to check them out while they still can.
