Highlights

  • Xbox Game Pass is expected to lose Hot Wheels Unleashed, Infinite Guitars, and MLB The Show 23 on March 31.
  • On the bright side, MLB The Show 23 is being replaced by MLB The Show 24 soon anyway.
  • Departing games are typically available at a 20% discount while they're still on the service.

Microsoft has yet again updated the Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section, this time revealing three games that will seemingly be leaving the lineup come Sunday, March 31. The Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section gives subscribers advanced notice of when games are about to get the axe, even ahead of the official blog post announcement.

Every couple of weeks, Microsoft publishes a new blog detailing what fans can expect from Xbox Game Pass in the next two weeks. This is always an exciting time for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as it clues them in on what games they will get to play in the near future, as well as what Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perks they can look forward to. But these same announcement posts also highlight the games that are leaving Xbox Game Pass, letting fans know exactly which titles are on the chopping block.

Since the official announcement hasn't happened yet, it's entirely possible that even more games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on March 31 than expected, but for now, fans can expect at least three titles to get the boot. Sunday, March 31 will be the last day that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play Hot Wheels Unleashed: Game of the Year Edition, Infinite Guitars, and MLB The Show 23. Anyone interested in keeping access to these games will want to consider buying them between now and March 31, as Game Pass titles are typically available at a 20% discount while they're still on the service.

Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving Soon

  • Hot Wheels Unleashed - March 31
  • Infinite Guitars - March 31
  • MLB The Show 23 - March 31

Hot Wheels Unleashed and Infinite Guitars both earned relatively mixed reviews from critics, but both can be completed rather quick. According to How Long to Beat, it takes less than 10 hours to beat each game, so Xbox Game Pass subscribers can potentially get through them before they're removed on March 31. As far as MLB The Show 23 goes, Xbox Game Pass subscribers don't have much reason to prioritize it over the other games leaving the service.

Even though MLB The Show 23 is currently the highest-rated game in the Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section, it's soon going to be replaced. MLB The Show 24 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on March 19 as a day one game, so MLB fans should still be able to get their baseball sim fix even after The Show 23 gets removed.

While highly unlikely, it's possible that one of the games leaving Xbox Game Pass soon will actually get to stick around longer than expected. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered was pulled from the last batch of Xbox Game Pass removals and remains available on the service, despite having initially been announced to be leaving March 15. Fans shouldn't hold their breath for that to become a regular occurrence, but the possibility exists.
