Xbox Game Pass appears to be losing another four games come January 31, though the official announcement has yet to be made. Xbox Game Pass has struggled to get back into its rhythm ever since the start of the new year, and so subscribers have been confused about when to expect announcements. It's possible Microsoft will get Xbox Game Pass back on track for February, but for now, January is a bit confusing.

Even though there are more new Xbox Game Pass games coming in January 2023, Microsoft has yet to release its usual blog post detailing those titles to its subscribers. Those same blog posts often include mention of the games that are leaving Xbox Game Pass in January 2023. Since no post has come yet, Xbox Game Pass subscribers aren't entirely sure which games will be leaving the lineup this month, though the Xbox app has listed some titles that may be getting the boot.

As pointed out by Pure Xbox, the Leaving Soon section of the Xbox app has added Donut County, Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master, Telling Lies, and Worms WMD to its lineup. Assuming Xbox Game Pass sticks to it its game removal pattern, subscribers can expect the games to be removed after January 31. This gives anyone interested in playing them about two weeks to give them a try through the Xbox Game Pass service. As usual, the games are available at a 20% discount for anyone that wants to buy them to keep.

If these games are truly leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 31, it will be a sad day for the service. Donut County is one of the more popular indie games of recent years, and Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master has been a hit with music/rhythm game fans. Telling Lies, meanwhile, is one of Sam Barlow's FMV-style games, and those certainly have their fans as well. And turn-based tactics fans will likely be sad to see Worms WMD leave Game Pass.

On the bright side, there are new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of January as well, with more planned in the months ahead. Barring any delays, 2023 could be the biggest year for Xbox Game Pass to date, so subscribers should have plenty to play, even with the games that are removed from the lineup.
