Microsoft has now updated the Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section to include a total of eight games that are supposedly getting the boot in April. While there are new Xbox Game Pass games added every month, it's a sad reality for subscribers that games are regularly removed from the service as well.

So far, Microsoft has not revealed all the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in April 2023. It also hasn't released its official blog post detailing the games leaving either. However, it has updated its Leaving Soon section to reveal the titles that are being removed this month. Typically, this means that these games are being removed on the 15th, but it's also possible they will be removed on April 30 instead. Alternatively, the games could be getting the boot on a completely unexpected day in April, though that seems unlikely.

According to the Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section, Quantum Break, The Rift Breaker, Moonglow Bay, Rainbow Six Extraction, Panzer Corps 2, The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos - Chicken Edition, Life is Strange: True Colors, and The Long Dark are all being removed in April 2023. Again, the most likely scenario is that these games are going to be removed on April 15, but the official date technically hasn't been announced at the time of this writing. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will still want to prioritize their Xbox Game Pass time accordingly.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers were alerted early to some of these games leaving in April 2023. For example, it was announced in advance that popular survival game The Long Dark would be leaving the Xbox Game Pass lineup in April 2023. Another game leaving Xbox Game Pass in April 2023 hat fans knew about ahead of time was Quantum Break, though that one is still puzzling subscribers.

Quantum Break was published by Microsoft in 2016, and so it doesn't make much sense that it is apparently being removed from the Xbox Game Pass lineup in April 2023. There are some possible explanations for why Quantum Break is being removed from Xbox Game Pass, but all of that would just be speculation until some official news comes from Microsoft. Regardless, Xbox Game Pass subscribers interested in playing any of these games should be sure to do so between now and April 15 if they want to play them as part of their subscription.
