Microsoft has confirmed six more games that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out in February 2023. The past few years have seen Microsoft stick with clear patterns when it comes to Xbox Game Pass, often revealing a set of games at the beginning of each month and another in the middle. Things have been off-course since the start of 2023, though, but it seems like Microsoft is finally looking to right the ship.

The first new Xbox Game Pass games for February 2023 were strangely announced in January, when they would usually be revealed at the beginning of February. In total, Microsoft confirmed three games for the first week of February 2023: Darkest Dungeon, GRID Legends (exclusive to those signed up for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier), and Hot Wheels Unleashed: Game of the Year Edition, the latter of which was added on February 7. Now Microsoft has pulled the curtain back on the games coming to Xbox Game Pass for the rest of February, which should help its announcements get back to their normal rhythm starting in March.

The rest of the Xbox Game Pass games coming in February 2023 are Madden NFL 23 on February 9 (exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers), SD Gundam Battle Alliance on February 9, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord on February 14, Cities: Skylines - Remastered on February 15, Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition on February 16, and finally, day one game Atomic Heart on February 21.

  • Madden NFL 23 (Consoles/PC - Game Pass Ultimate only) - February 9
  • SD Gundam Battle Alliance (Cloud/Consoles/PC) - February 9

  • Atomic Heart (Cloud/Consoles/PC) - February 21

The headlining new addition for February 2023 is clearly Atomic Heart, a new first-person shooter game that takes direct inspiration from titles like BioShock and the Fallout series. Atomic Heart's unique Soviet-inspired art style and over-the-top action have been turning heads since the game was first announced years ago, and so many are excited to see how the final product turns out. Luckily, anyone with an Xbox Game Pass subscription will be able to try Atomic Heart on the very day of its release without paying full price for the game.

While it's great that Xbox Game Pass is adding six more games for February 2023, it's also worth pointing out that it's losing another six games as well. Six games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on February 15, so subscribers will want to play those while they still can.
