Microsoft has officially announced 10 games that are coming to Xbox Game Pass in December 2023. December is typically one of the slower months for Xbox Game Pass every year, and so subscribers are likely surprised to learn that a whopping 10 games will be added to the subscription service within the next two weeks.

It's an exciting time to be an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, to say the least. The last few months have been some of the busiest in Xbox Game Pass history, as Microsoft has been adding high-profile first-party games to the lineup alongside plenty of major third-party releases. It's also surprised subscribers with new additions, like when Remnant and its sequel were added to Xbox Game Pass with no prior announcement just recently.

Most of the new Xbox Game Pass games for December 2023 are older titles that are just now making their debut on the service, but there are some day one games in the lineup as well. These include city-builder game SteamWorld Build, adventure game While the Iron's Hot, and while it's not explicitly listed as a day one game by Microsoft, city-builder Against the Storm. Against the Storm has previously been playable in early access, but it's making its 1.0 release on PC Game Pass, which means it is technically a day one release for the service as well.

The highest-profile games coming to the service are Rise of the Tomb Raider, World War Z: Aftermath, Goat SImulator 3, and Far Cry 6. Ubisoft has been adding many of its games to Xbox Game Pass as of late, so it's no surprise to see Far Cry 6 become part of the lineup. Now anyone that has yet to play the latest game in the long-running open world first-person shooter series can try it out through Game Pass and see how it compares to its predecessors.

Another trend subscribers may notice is that a couple of the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in December 2023, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone and Goat Simulator 3, are only available on Xbox Series X, with no native Xbox One versions. This will become a more common trend as we get deeper in this generation, so Xbox Game Pass subscribers should definitely keep that in mind.
