Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service already has six games confirmed for May 2023, but there are many more left to be revealed. Microsoft waits until the actual month rolls around before giving its official preview of what Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect from the service in any given month, with the latest preview focused primarily on the games coming in the second half of April 2023.
Microsoft recently shone a spotlight on the new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2023, giving fans the rundown of what they can expect from the service in the next couple of weeks. However, that preview also included a sneak peek at one of the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in May 2023. Likely since it's being added to Game Pass so early next month, Microsoft has already given the nod to co-op vampire shooter Redfall, scheduled to join the service on May 2.
At the time of this writing, Redfall making its Xbox Game Pass debut on May 2 is the only game that Microsoft has pointed out in an official preview. However, release date announcements from other companies have clued Xbox Game Pass subscribers in on what else they can expect from the service in May.

Redfall is kicking things off for Xbox Game Pass on May 2. Even though there's some controversy surrounding Redfall's 30 FPS performance, the game is still the headlining new title for Game Pass in May 2023, owing to the fact that it's a first-party game developed by Arkane. Ravenlok will join Xbox Game Pass a couple of days later on May 4, making for a strong first week of May for the service.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is scheduled to join Xbox Game Pass on May 11, while Amnesia: The Bunker will be available beginning May 23. While Redfall is May 2023's headlining new addition to the Game Pass lineup, Amnesia: The Bunker is also rather significant. It serves as the latest installment in the acclaimed Amnesia horror game series and looks rather ambitious based on what's been shown so far, embracing a more open world approach and letting players fight back against the monsters they encounter this time around.
May 25 will see Railway Empire 2 added to the Xbox Game Pass lineup, while open world co-op game Farworld Pioneer is pegged for a May 30 release. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new Xbox Game Pass games in May 2023, but subscribers will have to wait until next month to get a full rundown of what to expect from the service.
