Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play highly-rated 2021 game Loop Hero across PC and consoles with their subscription starting today, with four other games coming in the next two weeks. Instead of announcing the full slate of new Xbox Game Pass games for any particular month, Microsoft instead likes to narrow things down to two-week intervals.

Besides confirming all the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the next two weeks, Microsoft also confirmed a batch of titles that are leaving the service this month as well. On April 15, Xbox Game Pass subscribers are losing access to Life is Strange: True Colors, Moonglow Bay, Panzer Corps 2, Rainbow Six Extraction, The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk, The Long Dark, and The Riftbreaker. Quantum Break is also leaving Xbox Game Pass, but a date for its removal has yet to be announced at the time of this writing.

While it will be sad to see those games leave the subscription service, at least Xbox Game Pass subscribers have new additions to look forward to these next couple of weeks. Loop Hero is available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to check out starting today, while Xbox 360 game Iron Brigade is coming to consoles and PC on April 6. April 12 will see the addition of Ghostwire: Tokyo on the cloud, consoles, and PC. NHL 23 will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers through EA Play beginning April 13. And finally, day one game Minecraft Legends is coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 18.

  • Loop Hero (Consoles and PC) - April 4
  • Iron Brigade (Consoles and PC) - April 6
  • Ghostwire: Tokyo (Cloud/Consoles/PC) - April 12
  • NHL 23 (Consoles, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate only) - April 13
  • Minecraft Legends (Cloud/Consoles/PC) - April 18

Out of these new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2023, the most significant are likely the aforementioned Loop Hero because of its status as one of 2021's highest-rated games with an 84 overall critic rating, Ghostwire: Tokyo since it was developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda, and day one game Minecraft Legends. All three games should prove to be significant additions to the Xbox Game Pass lineup, though there should be even more for fans to look forward to in April.

In fact, there are three other new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2023 that were previously announced but not included in the latest roundup. April 20 will see the release of Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly on Game Pass, whereas Metroidvania game The Last Case of Benedict Fox is coming on April 27. Homestead Arcana is also expected to join Xbox Game Pass at some point in April 2023, but an official release date for that game has yet to be nailed down.
