Since Microsoft launched its Xbox Game Pass subscription in 2017 the service has been praised for the consistent additions of popular AAA and independent titles. January 2022 was no exception, with many claiming that Microsoft started the new year with the best month in Xbox Game Pass history, with titles such as Hitman Trilogy, Nobody Saves the World, Outer Wilds, and Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc joining the service. It appears that Microsoft isn't hitting the breaks, as a new leak indicates yet another great month for Xbox Game Pass in February.

Xbox Game Pass was first launched in summer 2017 and has since become arguably the primary focus for Microsoft's gaming division, with major emphasis being put on the service as the company continues to acquire industry giants such as Bethesda and Activision Blizzard. The studio has been adding day one launch titles to the platform since 2018's Sea of Thieves and has continued the trend with major titles such as Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Halo Infinite, alongside major third-party titles including the entire mainline Yakuza series, Back 4 Blood, and MLB: The Show 22.

One of the foundations that has kept Xbox Game Pass consistent throughout the years has been the addition of both day one and legacy indie games that have kept players busy in the months between big releases. This is one of the major contributing factors that made January 2022 one of the service's best months, and Microsoft looks to be continuing this trend if the latest leak from frequent PlayStation Plus leaker BillBill-Kun is to be believed. The Dealabs user has revealed that the Xbox Game Pass titles for February 2022 will include Ark: Survival Evolved Ultimate Survivor Edition, Dreamscaper, Infernax, Skul: The Hero Slayer, Edge of Eternity, Beseige (Xbox Game Preview), The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom, Contrast, and Telling Lies.

This is just the list for the first half of February and, as many have pointed out, doesn't include some previously confirmed titles for the month including Xbox exclusive multiplayer shooter CrossFire X, which recently confirmed that the first part of its episodic campaign from Alan Wake and Control developer Remedy Entertainment will be joining the service on February 10th. While the month isn't starting as strong as January, there are likely to be some surprises along the way to keep players busy.

Interestingly, one of the titles joining the list is Contrast from Xbox studio Compulsion Games, which also developed We Happy Few. This title originally launched as a PlayStation Plus game for PS4 in November 2013, alongside Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions, with an Xbox One release coming later in 2014. This might be an interesting title for fans to jump into as Compulsion Games has yet to announce any of its titles currently in development under Microsoft, and could possibly announce one later this year.
