Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a new day one game to look forward to in September 2023, as Party Animals will be launching on September 20. Fans of multiplayer brawler games ala Gang Beasts have been waiting to play Party Animals for years, and now the wait is finally coming to an end.

Party Animals has been delayed multiple times, but that hasn't stopped fans from being hyped for the game. Party Animals has been highly anticipated its first demo was released, and for good reason. The release date delays should ensure that Party Animals launches in a more polished and content-complete state than it would have had it released earlier, and fans will find out if it was worth the wait come later this year.

When the Party Animals September 20 release date rolls around, it will be readily available to play on PC through Steam and on Xbox consoles. The game only costs $20.00, but gamers don't have to pay anything beyond what they already pay for Xbox Game Pass if they don't want to. Party Animals is a day one Xbox Game Pass game, meaning subscribers to Microsoft's gaming service will be able to play it on the day of release without paying anything extra.

For Xbox Game Pass subscribers who may be unfamiliar with the game, Party Animals is a physics-based multiplayer brawler that supports both local and online multiplayer modes. Players take on the role of various animals and compete against their friends and others online. Those who are fans of the previously mentioned Gang Beasts should definitely make sure Party Animals is on their radar.

Xbox Game Pass didn't have a massive presence at Summer Game Fest this year, but the service should be a much bigger focus of the Xbox Showcase that's scheduled to take place on June 11. But even though Xbox Game Pass didn't get a ton of attention at the Summer Game Fest event, Party Animals wasn't the only Xbox Game Pass-centric announcement at the show this year. It was also confirmed at Summer Game Fest that highly-anticipated Soulslike game Lies of P, which specifically seems to take inspiration from Bloodborne, will be releasing this September as a day one Xbox Game Pass game as well. And not only that, but those interested in Lies of P can try a free demo that was shadow-dropped as part of the Summer Game Fest festivities.
