Highlights

  • Xbox Game Pass is losing Persona 5 Royal on October 31, which may disappoint fans due to its long gameplay time and high-quality content.
  • Xbox Game Pass subscribers have the option to purchase Persona 5 Royal with a membership discount before its removal to keep it in their library.
  • Other games leaving Xbox Game Pass on October 31 include Gunfire Reborn, Kill It with Fire, Signalis, and Solasta Crown of the Magister.

Xbox Game Pass is losing a title of five games on October 31, with one of those titles being Persona 5 Royal. Generally speaking, Xbox Game Pass adds more games much faster than it loses games, but sometimes these titles still sting. There's still more time to play many of the games leaving this month, but given it can take 100+ hours to beat Persona 5 Royal, that's not really the case here.

Not to mention, that long runtime is packed with incredibly high-quality content. Persona 5 Royal launched to critical acclaim, with its lowest Metacritic score being a 91 on PS5 (based on 10 reviews) and its highest being tied at 95 for PS4 and PC (based on 74 and 14 reviews, respectively). While fans really don't have time to beat it, at least without grinding away at it considerably, it's worth repeating that Xbox Game Pass subscribers get a membership discount on every game that leaves the service. Fans can purchase Persona 5 Royal and save 20% on it right now, in order to keep it in their library after its removal. They'll just want to do that before October 31.

Xbox Game Pass Confirms More Games for October 2023, Including Major Horror Game

Xbox Game Pass confirms all the games coming to the service later this month, including a perfect horror title just in time for Halloween.

Joining Persona 5 Royal's exodus from Xbox Game Pass is Gunfire Reborn, Kill It with Fire, Signalis, and Solasta Crown of the Magister. For the most part, these are much more digestible removals fans could probably beat before October 31 rolls around.

Gunfire Reborn is a level-based adventure game with FPS, Roguelite, RPG, and co-op elements, while Kill It With Fire is an over-the-top action game about hunting down and killing spiders by any means necessary. Signalis bills itself as a classic survival horror experience, while Solasta Crown of the Magister is a turn-based tactical RPG based on the SRD 5.1 ruleset.

Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving October 31

  • Gunfire Reborn (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Kill It With Fire (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Persona 5 Royal (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Signalis (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Solasta Crown of the Magister (Cloud, Console, and PC)

While it's always sad to see any title go, there's plenty more on the horizon. Xbox Game Pass already has some games confirmed for November, which include PlateUp!, Thirsty Suitors, Football Manager 2024, Dungeons 4, Like a Dragon Gaiden, and Persona 5 Tactica. The timing of the latter's addition and Persona 5 Royal's removal seems a bit odd, but nevertheless, Xbox Game Pass is a gift that keeps on giving.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers get a handful of games every month.
