Highlights

  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is rumored to be coming to Xbox Game Pass soon.
  • The critically acclaimed remake compilation will reportedly hit Microsoft's subscription service in August 2024.
  • Diablo 4 is still the only Activision Blizzard game to have reached Xbox Game Pass since the company was acquired by Microsoft back in October 2023.

Xbox Game Pass is set to receive Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy in summer 2024, a well-known leaker has said. This would make the critically acclaimed 2017 compilation only the second Activision Blizzard game to reach Xbox Game Pass since the company was acquired by Microsoft.

Developed by current Blizzard Entertainment subsidiary Vicarious Visions, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a collection of remakes of the first three Crash Bandicoot games. It was originally published by Activision for the PS4 in June 2017 before making its way to the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC a year later. The bundle was met with overwhelmingly positive reviews, as reflected in its OpenCritic aggregate score of 80, as well as its 80% reviewer recommendation rate.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Reportedly Coming to Xbox Game Pass in August

The compilation is now said to be on its way to Xbox Game Pass, according to Spanish YouTuber and leaker eXtas1s. In a July 3 post on the eXputer forums, the insider wrote that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be coming to Microsoft's subscription service sometime in August 2024. The remake compilation may not be the only Activision title to reach Xbox Game Pass next month, eXtas1s said, albeit without committing to any specific predictions.

Even More Activision Games May Be Coming to Xbox Game Pass Soon

Nevertheless, the leaker opined that the first two Tony Hawk entries and Spyro Reignited Trilogy are also bound to reach Xbox Game Pass soon, even though he isn't certain whether that will actually happen in August. As for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, the compilation is likely to be available to XGP members across both PC and consoles, but eXtas1s said he was unsure whether its launch would also include the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

The Spanish YouTuber has a long track record of verified scoops, especially when it comes to Microsoft. He had previously correctly leaked the Xbox Game Pass debuts of Tchia, Soul Hackers 2, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, Lords of the Fallen, and the first two Octopath Traveler games, among others. While he's not always 100% accurate when it comes to the timing of such releases, having just recently predicted Tchia and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 to arrive in June rather than July, the crux of his Xbox Game Pass leaks has more often than not been on point.

Xbox Game Pass Members Are Still Waiting For the Majority of Activision Blizzard's Catalog

Microsoft initially framed its Activision Blizzard acquisition as a big win for its subscribers back when it was still trying to push the deal over the finish line. But only a single title from the company has so far made its way to Xbox Game Pass as of July 2024, nine months after the $68.7 billion acquisition went through. That would be Diablo 4, which debuted on the service at the end of March 2024. Since then, Microsoft has only confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be a day-one Xbox Game Pass release in October 2024, but otherwise remained mum on the efforts to bring its latest subsidiary's vast catalog to its subscribers.
