Head of Xbox Phil Spencer comments on whether the company has plans to bring the Xbox Game Pass service to Nintendo and PlayStation platforms.

As expected, December 5 is a big day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as Microsoft adds four new games to its online subscription service. Crystal Dynamics' Rise of the Tomb Raider, Saber Interactive's World War Z: Aftermath, Doborog Games’ Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, and Bontemps Games’ While the Iron’s Hot are all joining the Xbox Game Pass today, giving players new adventures to discover on Microsoft’s consoles.

All New Xbox Game Pass Games for December 5, 2023

  • Clone Drone in the Danger Zone (Cloud/PC/Xbox Series X)
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud/Consoles/PC)
  • While the Iron's Hot (Cloud/Consoles/PC)
  • World War Z: Aftermath (Cloud/Consoles/PC)

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is an indie action game pitting players against each other. In this slice’em up, players’ mind have been downloaded into a robot gladiator, and all of its body parts can be sliced up by opponents. The goal is to survive against waves of AI enemies or against other players in a Battle-Royale-like game mode. Players who don’t feel like being sliced up can try Crystal Dynamics’ Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to the 2013’s soft reboot of Lara Croft’s adventures. While the Iron's Hot is coming day one to Xbox Game Pass and this indie adventure game puts players in the boots of a crafty blacksmith tasked to restore a ruined village on the mysterious isle of Ellian. For those looking for more action, World War Z: Aftermath is a fast-paced co-op zombie shooter based on the eponymous movie starring Brad Pitt.

Besides these new games coming to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft enthusiasts can look forward to The Game Awards 2023, as Xbox teased some major announcements. While the exact nature of these announcements remain a mystery, fans expect news about the upgraded versions of the Xbox Series X and S, updates regarding Activision Blizzard games coming to Xbox Game Pass, or the Xbox Series X/S release date for Baldur's Gate 3.
