As if Christmas came early, there is a new batch of free games this weekend as part of Xbox's Free Play Days event. And for both Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, subscribers are able to get their hands on some decent popular titles this weekend.

Starting today, July 8th at 12:01 a.m. PDT, to Sunday, July 11th at 11:59 p.m. PDT, gamers can get their hands on both R.B.I. Baseball 21 and Dead by Daylight for free. These two games from vastly different genres are to pique the interest of the largest variety of Xbox players as possible.

To start playing the games on the Xbox console, go to the subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store and navigate to the Gold Member area. Next, players should spot the free games within the Free Play Days collection section. Finally, for PC users, click on the link on Xbox.com and follow the instructions until the Microsoft Store login page pops up. After signing in, the option to install should pop up on the computer.

Not only do fans get to play these two games for free, but there is also a limited-time discount for purchasing titles while keeping the earned Gamerscore and achievements from playing even the games haven't been purchased yet. For R.B.I Baseball 21, gamers should be able to purchase the Standard Edition for 30% off at $20.09. For Dead By Daylight, fans will be able to purchase the Special Edition and most of the different DLC chapters for 50% off. The All-Kill DLC Chapter is offered at 30% off, but that still comes out to $5.59. However, it should be noted that these discounts are different depending on the region it is purchased from.

To top it all off, Xbox is also starting a sweepstakes giveaway. If Twitter users follow the @XboxGamePass account and retweet the #XGPDBDsweepstakes post, they can earn a chance to win a custom-made Series S Dead by Daylight art piece along with an actual Xbox Series S. Some of the requirements are that fans have to be at least 18 years of age, be a legal U.S. citizen, and they have until July 15th of this year to enter the competition.

Hopefully, Xbox users will be able to score some sweet deals from this weekend. Xbox Free Play Days are a great way for players to sink their teeth into new games they normally wouldn't think of purchasing. And with the inclusion of the extra discounts for DLC content, gamers are sure to be able to keep themselves busy for plenty of time to come.
