Good news for fans of both Xbox and snacks, as the brand is teaming up with Doritos and Rockstar Energy Drink for a new promotion. It was rumored a few days ago that Xbox and Doritos were collaborating again, and today’s announcement confirms it and then some, as the two are partnering with Rockstar Energy Drink to give people more than just a fresh supply of game-branded food and drink.
Alongside the unveiling of special edition packaging featuring popular franchises like Halo, The Elder Scrolls, and PUBG, Xbox announced that fans can win prizes as part of this promotion. By purchasing any one of specifically marked Doritos bags or Rockstar cans, they can enter a code for a chance to win from “over 10,000 gaming-themed prizes.” Such prizes include custom PCs, Xbox Series S consoles, various gaming and streaming peripherals, and a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so one can get their hands on some good stuff if they’re lucky.
Furthermore, first-time Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can receive a month free, and participants can also receive in-game items inspired by the “bold taste” and “fully charged flavor” of Doritos and Rockstar Energy Drink. Entering a code will unlock DLC for their game of choice, with participating titles including Fallout 76, Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, PUBG: Battlegrounds, The Elder Scrolls Online, and Madden NFL 23. These will be available to all participants, except for the Madden NFL 23 Ultimate Team pack which is exclusive to special edition Doritos purchases in the US.
Xbox’s collaboration with Rockstar Energy Drink and Doritos begins today, October 3, and will run until December 30, so gamers have plenty of time to take part. While the available products vary depending on region, Xbox says gamers in the US will want to be on the lookout for Doritos flavors like Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, Spicy Sweet Chili, Spicy Nacho, 3D Crunch Nacho Cheese and 3D Crunch Spicy Ranch. Featured Rockstar flavors, meanwhile, include Original, Sugar Free, Pure Zero Punched and Pure Zero Silver Ice.
For those outside the US, special edition Doritos bags will be available in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, while exclusive Rockstar cans can be found in Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Poland, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom. Although fans in Canada, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain won’t have any cans to buy, they’ll still be able to enter the Xbox sweepstakes for a chance to win prizes.
