Earlier this year, Xbox brought back Xbox Design Lab, a customization program used to provide new ways for players to personalize their Xbox Wireless controllers. Players have made custom Xbox controllers before with Xbox Design Lab as this program allows players to use many customizable features.

With Xbox Design Lab, plenty of players have created a wide variety of Xbox controllers based on their favorite video games like Pokemon and more. Xbox recently announced that Xbox Design Lab will be adding more customization options for players to personalize their Xbox wireless controllers. According to the post, Xbox Design Lab will be adding rubberized grips and metallic finishes as options for customizing controllers.

There will also be new color customization options that will add more combination possibilities for custom Xbox controllers. In addition, the post provides a list of the new customization options that are available in Xbox Design Lab along with the original options. The first is black rubberized grips that are available for the controller's back case and side grips that are added for comfort and control.

The second option is that there will be 19 new metallic finish colors that can be used for the D-pads and triggers. The list of colors includes Sterling Silver, Pewter Silver, Gunmetal Silver, Abyss Black, Retro Pink, Deep Pink, Oxide Red, Zest Orange, and Gold. The rest of the colors include Electric Volt, Velocity Green, Glacier Blue, Dragonfly Blue, Mineral Blue, Photon Blue, Midnight Blue, Regal Purple, Nocturnal Green, and Warm Gold.

There will also be three new color options that can be used for Xbox controller parts with the first being Dragonfly Blue. The second color option is Military Green that was updated to Nocturnal Green, which is supposed to provide a richer earth color. The third color option is Electric Green which had been updated to Velocity Green, and is supposed to bring the color more "in line with the iconic Xbox color."

The post states that there will be new controller designs "inspired by" several notable video games. The first are the popular Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, the upcoming Battlelfield 2042, the recently released Forza Horizon 5, and Riders Republic. The controllers will be priced starting at $69.99 US dollars, but the post notes that the pricing may vary for additional options.

The post continues to state that each custom Xbox controller is made to order and will be delivered to their buyer within 3 to 4 weeks of placing the order. Along with the previously mentioned new features, players can customize their Xbox controller's body, back case, D-pad, bumpers, triggers, thumbsticks, ABXY buttons, and View/Menu/Share buttons. Also, players can add laser engraving with a custom 16-character message as well.
