Continuing with the months-long Summer Game Fest, Microsoft held a joint Xbox and Bethesda Showcase that was jam-packed full of video game goodness. Within the over 90-minute livestream, Microsoft showcased 50 titles that will be releasing on Xbox and PC over the next 12 months.

From a deeper look into Bethesda's Starfield to a new working partnership with Riot Games, every minute was filled with exciting news. Among the games that will be released, Microsoft also announced that tons of the upcoming titles will be available on Game Pass. The list of games coming onto Game Pass is packed with amazing titles old and new, so there will be a game for everyone to look forward to playing.

Naraka: Bladepoint

Originally released on PC in August 2021, the unique battle royale Naraka: Bladepoint incorporates a rock-paper-scissors combat system and features martial arts-inspired melee with up to 60 players. Console players will be able to join into the fun set in a mythical world, with cross-play support, on June 23, 2022, and Game Pass subscribers will be able to enjoy the game on day one.

As Dusk Falls

As Dusk Falls is an interactive drama developed by former Quantic Dream developers at Interior/Night that has reportedly been in development for over eight years. The game's story revolves around two families over a period of thirty years, with a branching and dynamic structure, and features co-op support. As Dusk Falls will be available on Game Pass when it launches July 19, 2022.

Sea of Thieves Season 7

Budding pirates will soon be able to enjoy another update to Sea of Thieves coming very soon. During the Xbox showcase, Microsoft revealed that Season 7 of Sea of Thieves will be releasing July 21, with Game Pass subscribers able to enjoy it upon release.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

Announced in 2021, A Plague Tale: Requiem is the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 action-adventure stealth game A Plague Tale: Innocence. During the extended gameplay trailer, Requiem once again focuses on siblings Amicia and Hugo after they escaped a homeland ravaged by a brutal plague. The game is slated to launch sometime in 2022 and Game Pass holders will be able to grab the game on day one.

Lightyear Frontier

A farming adventure set in an open-world, Lightyear Frontier is one to watch for those who love relaxing games. Players can take control over a farmer mech suit that can help out as they start their new lives as they start a farm. Launching on Early Access in Spring 2023, Game Pass subscribers will be able to start their new farmer life on launch.

Grounded

The massively popular survival game Grounded has been in Early Access since July 2020 and the game is set for a full-release this September. Grounded's gameplay revolves around a group of children who have shrunk down to the size of insects and find themselves within a garden. Those with Game Pass can enjoy surviving against now-gigantic threats as Grounded's version 1.0 release will be available upon launch.

Fallout 76 Expeditions: The Pitt

Bethesda announced that DLCs will be available for its online multiplayer games The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76. Both DLCs will give players new areas to explore and loads of in-game content to enjoy. However, Game Pass holders will be able to enjoy Fallout 76's expansion, The Pitt, immediately with their subscription when it releases in September.

High on Life

The upcoming colorful FPS game High on Life was announced at the showcase. Made by the creators of Rick and Morty, High on Life is a comedic title that sees players wielding sentient, organic weapons and will be available upon release on Game Pass this September.

Gunfire Reborn

A game for roguelite fans to keep an eye on, Gunfire Reborn turns the genre on its head as the upcoming action game takes players into a first-person perspective and features co-op play. Soon to be released on mobile, players will be taken into a cel-shaded world, using various ability-based mechanics with up to four-players. Gunfire Reborn is set to launch on PC and consoles in October 2022 and will be available on day one on Game Pass.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

After spending an awfully long time out of the public eye, Team Cherry's much-demanded Metroidvania Hollow Knight: Silksong finally reared its head at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase. Fans got a good look at the Hollow Knight sequel's gameplay, and although Team Cherry hasn't locked in a release date yet, fans do know that Silksong is now an Xbox Game Pass title.

Scorn

Fans of the survival-horror genre can look forward to Scorn, which appeared during the Xbox Showcase. Releasing October 21 and available on Game Pass, Scorn is set in a gory 'biopunk' world inspired by the visual artists H. R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski.

Pentiment

The curiously styled Pentiment is a narrative role-playing game also featured during the Xbox Showcase, and set in 16th century Germany. This 2D game is developed by Obsidian Entertainment and features branching narratives, focusing on character development as players control a cunning illustrator solving murders. Pentiment releases November 2022 and will be available at launch on Game Pass.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition

Microsoft's highly popular Microsoft Flight Simulator will be receiving a 40th Anniversary Edition this November and Game Pass subscribers will be able to enjoy it at launch. Among the exclusive content announced was a crossover between Microsoft Flight Simulator and Halo Infinite that will add Halo's Pelican to the available line of aircraft.

Redfall

Redfall is a vampire-hunting multiplayer FPS that was originally announced in 2021, developed by the creators of Dishonored, Arkane Studios. During the showcase, Microsoft confirmed that Redfall will launch sometime in 2023 and will be playable on Game Pass upon release.

Starfield

The highly anticipated Bethesda action RPG Starfield had a gameplay trailer shown during the Showcase. With over 100 explorable solar systems, Starfield's mysterious gameplay was finally revealed as the end of the Showcase gave a comprehensive look at many of the space-exploration game's mechanics. Although a solid release date hasn't been locked in yet, Game Pass holders can look forward to enjoying the game when it releases sometime in 2023.

Forza Motorsport

Alongside an upcoming DLC for Forza Horizon, Microsoft announced that the upcoming Forza Motorsport aims to release during 2023, and it will be available at launch for Game Pass subscribers. During the Forza Motorsport gameplay presentation, the racing simulator showed off a massive graphics upgrade, with real-time tracing and incredible next-gen graphics.

Minecraft Legends

In a surprise twist, the Xbox Showcase featured a brand-new take on the Minecraft series with Minecraft Legends. The upcoming game takes the franchise and sticks it into a strategy Minecraft experience, as players have to unite overworld mobs to protect their world from hordes of the Nether. Minecraft Legends is slated to be released sometime in 2023 and will be immediately available for Game Pass subscribers.

Ara: History Untold

Blending Civilization and Crusader Kings gameplay is the upcoming historical turn-based strategy game Ara: History Untold. Set to release for PC sometime in 2023 and available for Game Pass on day one, this game features dynamic, branching gameplay with no pre-set path as each choice players make will define their gameplay experience.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Set in the Han Dynasty of China, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an upcoming Soulslike game made by Team NINJA alongside Bloodborne producer Masaaki Yamagiwa and Nioh producer Fumihiko Yasuda. Players control a nameless soldier fighting for survival in a world that blends the historical with the mythical, within a vast storyscape. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is scheduled to release in early 2023 and will be available on Game Pass.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

Another upcoming Soulslike title featured at the Xbox Showcase, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn takes players to a world where humankind war against the gods. The game features the axe, gun, and magic-wielding protagonist Nor and her foxlike companion Enki, whom the fate of humanity relies upon. Flintlock is confirmed to launch on Game Pass when it releases early next year.

Ark 2

The Xbox and Bethesda Showcase featured a teaser trailer for the upcoming Ark 2, with Vin Diesel playing its possible main character. Although its gameplay is still shrouded in mystery, Ark 2 has been given a vague 2023 release date, with Microsoft announcing that it will be available at launch on Game Pass.

Persona 3, 4, and 5

For the longest time, the Persona games have always been PlayStation exclusives, but no longer. Much to the delight of JRPG fans, Microsoft announced that PC and Xbox will get Persona 5 Royal this October and on Game Pass, with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden arriving at an unknown date.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy

Ereban: Shadow Legacy is an upcoming stealth-platformer that utilizes the power of the shadows as its main gameplay element. During the short teaser trailer shown at the Xbox Showcase, players can look forward to playing as a mysterious, ninja-like character who wields the shadows to sneak around sentinel mechs before jumping on them and destroying them. This exciting title is planned to release sometime in 2023 and will be available on day one on Game Pass.

Ravenlok

Set in a world inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Ravenlok is an upcoming third-person action-adventure RPG. Its protagonist is a young girl who finds herself stuck within this magical world, facing fairytale creatures and enemies as she fulfills a prophecy in her name. Ravenlok will be coming to Xbox Game Pass as it releases sometime in 2023.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox

Also revealed at the Xbox Showcase was The Last Case of Benedict Fox, a Metroidvania riddled with Lovecraft elements. Players control of the titular Benedict Fox who seeks to solve the mystery behind the murder of his family as he battles against horrifying monsters. The Last Case of Benedict Fox is slated for a spring 2023 release and will be available on Game Pass.

COCOON

From the lead gameplay designer of Limbo and Inside, Jeppe Carlsen, comes the colorful puzzle-adventure game COCOON. The gameplay mechanics brings worlds within worlds, as players need to master 'world-leaping' mechanics as they play a bug that utilizes the worlds it carries to solve the puzzles it faces. Available as a launch-day Game Pass title, COCOON is scheduled for a 2023 release.

Riot Games Partners With Xbox

In a surprise statement, Microsoft announced that it is partnering with Riot Games to add the latter company's highly popular games on to Game Pass. This winter, Game Pass subscribers will be able to enjoy Riot's popular PC and mobile titles with the added perk of XP boosts and unlocked rosters immediately available upon launch.

  • League of Legends (PC) – All champions will be unlocked
  • League of Legends: Wild Rift (Mobile) – All champions will be unlocked
  • Valorant (PC) – All agents will be unlocked
  • Teamfight Tactics (Mobile, PC) – Certain Little Legends will be unlocked
