It isn't completely clear why Xbox App is trending on Twitter. It may be because it received a new update yesterday that brought some new features, or it could be something completely unrelated. Regardless, the app trending has led to many Xbox players sharing some of their favorite game clips taken with the app.

The app allows Xbox players to save recordings that they capture on their Xbox while playing and share them on social media sites like Twitter. It is a feature that Xbox has doubled down on recently, as the company added a feature to do it straight from a player's console with the Xbox Series X/S.

The trend on Twitter has led to some incredible game clips being shared. Some of the clips highlight extremely lucky gameplay moments, like one Tweeted by user Oak Magician. Their clip shows them wiping an entire squad in battle royale Apex Legends with an incredibly lucky grenade throw.

Others are tweeting out some of their most incredible plays. User Javier Garcia used the trend to share an incredible clip of their insane triple kill in tactical multiplayer shooter Rainbow Six Siege with some great use of its critical lean mechanic.

Other users, like Double, are using the opportunity to relive some of their fondest gaming memories. Double in particular shared a clip of them and some friends getting an amusing kill in Call of Duty: Warzone using only riot shields.

Some other users are using the opportunity to highlight more frustrating clips. User Dreamsful uploaded a clip to highlight Call of Duty: Warzone's battle with various bugs by showing himself dying to an airstrike despite being inside a building.

Still, more clips are being shared for users to let others laugh at particularly poor plays or silly mistakes they have made, like user Droid who spent a little too much time taunting an opponent in Call of Duty: Warzone and was punished for it.

The trend is a great way to highlight some cool gaming moments and lets players share what they love about games like Apex Legends and Call of Duty with one another. The thread is definitely worth a look, and there is a variety of games being shared. Hopefully, with Xbox and PlayStation both doubling down on making the process to share gameplay easier in the new generation of consoles it will be even easier in the future to find some fun game clips from around the games industry.
