Many people find training arcs to be a means to an end for most anime, which is a shame since these impactful sections of the story can do a great job of fleshing out the world and the powers that lay within. That being said, it's understandable why some people may not be huge fans of training arcs, since they can go on for quite some time and feature many interactions and instances that can feel meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
