Wytchwood is a game of mostly crafting spells and recipes out of items found around the map. Players will need to collect bugs, birds, plants, sticks, twine, and more in order to make all the different spells and regents. But one of the first items players need to craft Animal Crossing-style in Wytchwood is a jar.
To Calm the Dog in Wytchwood
In order to light the braziers in Wytchwood and open up the Forest map, players need to first calm the dog down. In order to make the sleepytime treat for the pup, a soporific potion is needed. To make the potion, players will need a jar filled with water. But finding a jar might turn out to be a bigger task for players than expected until the witch's grimoire is more familiar to the players.
Ways to Get An Empty Jar in Wytchwood
In the opening part of the indie gameWytchwood, there are two ways to get an empty jar. Players can find them or create them, and either is a viable option.
The first way is to take one of the finished pots from the potter's house. This will be the scarier of the two options; the very angry and protective dog is guarding these pots, and players will have to get around her in order to nab them. The best way to get these jars is to wait until the dog has walked all the way to the left of the screen, then run up to the jars' location to grab them fast.
However, the witch doesn't run too quickly as she is an old lady, so players can also just make the jars and wait until the dog has eaten their treat and fallen asleep to get these jars. The recipe for an empty clay pot is simple; players will need to use the Witch's Sight button over the dog in order to earn this recipe.
Talk to the Well Wisher who is next to the well. He will give the witch a trowel which players will need many times during Wytchwood's 10-hour playthrough. After that, she can head down into the well. Inside the well will be piles on the ground that the witch can dig up to get the three pieces of clay needed for the jar.
Next, the witch can find an ember in the ash pile by the wood chopping man. These ash piles can give players up to two embers, and some soot fairies, which are just a few of the many ingredients players will need to collect to unlock all the Wytchwood portals and collect all 12 souls.
