Fittingly enough, one of WWE 2K24’s most downloaded Community Creations is a meme featuring one of WWE’s most beloved Superstars. Kurt Angle’s reputation in the world of professional wrestling speaks for itself, as he first rose to fame by winning the gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1996 Olympic Games. This would eventually lead to him signing with WWE a few years later, resulting in multiple championships and appearances in countless video games, including the newly released WWE 2K24.

Kurt Angle recently found some new notoriety after posting his first video on TikTok, in which he announced that he would use the popular social media platform to discuss various topics like his diet and podcasts. At the very end of this first video, Angle seemingly paused for a few seconds, and the intense look in his eyes during the dead air quickly spawned an internet meme. Fans have used this meme to express disbelief or displeasure at things like Kurt Angle’s controversial WWE 2K24 character rating.

This allows players to import their own custom Superstars, arenas, title belts, and crowd signs, as well as download them from all over the world. As pointed out by Twitter user beastmxmllnr, one of the most downloaded custom crowd signs is a screenshot of Kurt Angle’s meme face. While it was once the most downloaded image, it has since dropped to the Community Creation screen’s second page.

WWE 2K24 Is Already A Hit

While WWE 2K24 isn’t set to release in full until March 8, players who purchased one of the game’s digital deluxe editions can already dive into the frantic in-ring mayhem thanks to early access. So far, reviews for WWE 2K24 have been mainly positive, with much praise going towards its gameplay improvements and wealth of modes like the two MyRise story campaigns and enhanced MyGM mode that now includes the classic ECW promotion among its available brand choices. Fans can also play returning match types like Special Guest Referee and Casket Match.
