Now that it's the main event of the Survivor Series premium live events, the Wargames match has returned in WWE 2K24. Wrestling fans craving new match types welcomed the addition of the Wargames match, which was newly introduced in WWE 2K23 and has now returned to WWE 2K24.

It’s a chaotic event with two teams of three or four and is one of the most fun matches in the local multiplayer you can enjoy. The Dusty Rhodes-created spectacle has two rings surrounded by a cage and follows similar rules to the Elimination Chamber where each entrant must wait their turn to enter the cage.

The Wargames Rules In WWE 2K24

When you start a Wargames match in WWE 2K24, the game will briefly explain the rules, but with so much going on at once, it can easy to lose track. For those unsure of how these matches work, here are the rules:

• Matches can have teams of three or four members per side.
• Team members take turns entering the cage after the timer has run down and will leave their cell and enter the ring.
• The announcer will state that "Wargames has begun" when all entrants have entered the ring.
• Unlike the Elimination Chamber, only one person from either team must get pinned to get the victory.

How To Use Weapons In The Wargames Match In WWE 2K24

The Wargames steel cage match is a no-disqualification event. This means the newest entrants can grab a weapon before entering the cage.

• When playing a Wargames match in single-player mode, you must switch the controller assignment to the latest entrant from your team. You can switch the controller assignment from the pause screen.
• As the newest entrant is on their way down the steps, the game will prompt you with the L1 on PlayStation or the LB on Xbox to grab a weapon from under the ring before entering. Your chosen character will then bring the weapon into the cage.

Use The Cage As A Weapon In WWE 2K24

There are multiple ways to utilize the Wargames cage to gain the advantage and inflict significant harm on your WWE opponents.

• Grab your opponent and throw them into the steel cage by pressing the Circle/B button. Then, hold L1/LB to walk them toward the cage and press the Square/X button when prompted.
• You can whip your opponent into the cage by standing close to the cage wall and holding down the Circle/B + L Stick toward the cage.
• Stand next to the cage wall, then press the R1/RB + L stick toward it to climb. Press the R1/RB button from the top of the rope to ascend to the top of the cage, and press Circle/B to jump down.

• With your wrestler straddled across the cage, press the R1/RB button again to stand up. Then press the X/A button for a diving attack.

Force An Opponent To Forfeit The Wargames Match In WWE 2K24

You can win by pinfall and submission, but you can also eliminate your opponent by throwing them out of the cage and forcing them to forfeit the match, like in the Royal Rumble event.

• With all the combatants in the cage, climb the fence and fight with the opponent, with both wrestlers straddling the cage.
• With a finisher stored, press R2/RT+X/A to throw them off the top of the cage.
