Having a WWE wrestler enter the ring carrying and defending two belts was a much-requested feature for the WWE 2K series. The developers listened, so now you can have your favorite wrestler look like the dominating champion by carrying both belts to the ring in WWE 2K24.

While the wrestlers can't carry every championship belt to the ring like in AEW Fight Forever, watching the wrestlers approach the ring with two belts is a fun concept and great for fantasy wrestling bookers. This guide will show you how to assign and defend two championships in WWE 2K24 in exhibitions and the Universe mode.
How To Assign A Double Champion In WWE 2K24
You don't have to be an avid player of WWE 2K24's Universe mode to assign your favorite WWE wrestler two championship belts and get them to defend them. Use the following steps to assign a WWE superstar with two belts:
- Press the R1/RB button to open the Options menu.
- Select the Roster tab.
- Highlight and select the Title Management tab.
- Click on one of the championship belts on display.
- Select your favorite WWE wrestler or custom superstar.
- Repeat the steps for the second belt.
Defending Two Belts Play Mode
- Switch back to the Home screen.
- Select Play.
- Create a match type.
- Press the R3/RS button to switch Title Match: On.
- Select your double champion to play or make them your opponent.
- With all competitors selected, click on Championship.
- Then select Championship again.
- Press the Square/X button to switch Double Title Match On.
- Select the belts with your double champion.
- Click on Start Title Match.
- The double champ enters the ring and gets announced as the reigning and defending champion of two belts.
The double title matches only work in Classic Universe and Exhibition matches.
How To Assign A Double Champion In WWE 2K24 Universe Mode
The WWE 2K24 Universe mode operates separately from play mode, so the assigned double champion won't hold those belts unless you make it that way. Use the following to assign a double champion in the Classic Universe Mode:
Classic Universe
- Open your Classic Universe mode.
- Select MyUniverse.
- Then select Championships.
- Assign or replace the titleholder for two belts.
Defend The Belts
- Ensure your new double champion is assigned to a show by selecting MyUniverse.
- Superstars then select your wrestler.
- Press the Triangle/Y button to edit.
- Highlight Assigned Show and select one or more.
- Save your new settings.
- To assign your double champion to a show, so they can defend the belts, select Tonight's Show.
- Edit Matches.
- Remove a match with the Square/X button and replace it with your double champ and their challenger.
You can add multiple championships to your Universe mode and have your champions defend them in one or all of your shows and PLE/PPVs.
- Click Championship.
- Then select Championship again.
- Press the Square/X button to switch Double Title Match: On.
- Select the belts of your double champion.
- Then Save the show.
- Open the show, then you can either Play or Simulate the match.
Unfortunately, even though your WWE wrestler can hold more than one title, you can't defend two belts in one match in the Superstar version of WWE 2K24's Universe mode. The AI decides the next challenger for a specific belt based on rankings. However, if you want to see your superstar defend more than one belt, you can switch back into Classic mode by selecting Options changing the current playstyle to Classic Mode, and switching back when you're ready.
