Hell In A Cell Rules In WWE 2K24
The Hell in a Cell is a no-disqualification, cage-style match made most famous by WWE Legends The Undertaker and Mankind, after their brutal Hell in a Cell match at the King of the Ring in 1998. You can customize the rules via the match options before starting the game, but the general rules are as follows:
- No Disqualifications.
- Weapons are permitted.
- No ring-outs.
- Win by pinfall or submission in the ring or the cage roof.
- Up to 6 entrants can enter the match.
The Hell In A Cell Match In WWE 2K24
Matches can stay in the ring, but then you will miss out on the most interesting aspects of the match. Use the following steps to implement the Hell in Cell environment to your advantage:
Grab A Weapon
To grab a weapon from the ringside, leave the ring and press the L1/LB button to open the weapon wheel.
Unfortunately, weapons can only be used inside the ring.
Fighting Ringside
You can take the fight to the ringside area, but the wrestlers can only use Irish Whips and strikes for their moves. However, wrestlers can throw each other through the cage wall by Irish Whipping them into the cage wall closest to the announcer's table. It usually breaks after three slams, or you can break it in one attempt with a stored finisher by pressing R2/RT + X/A when prompted. However, it's better to keep the stored finisher given the little effort it takes to break the cage wall.
Leaving And Climbing The Hell In A Cell
After slamming an opponent through the cell wall, you can leave the cage and follow them outside by pressing the R1/RB. You can climb the cage by pressing the R1/RB button.
The wrestlers can fight at the halfway point by pressing the strike buttons, or continue climbing pressing the R1 at the prompt.

Fighting On Top Of The Hell In A Cell In WWE 2K24
With the wrestlers on top of the cage, they can fight on top of the cage and perform strikes and grapples as if they are in the ring:
Wrestling On Top Of The Cage
Wrestlers can fight on top of the cage until the four squares at the center of the cell roof become damaged, and they fall through for significant damage. It usually takes around four slams on the squares to break it.
The cell roof will show signs of damage before it breaks.
Throwing An Opponent From The Cell Roof
The wrestler with their back closest to the edge can be knocked from the top with strikes until they lose their balance. However, they won't fall through the announcer's table without a carry slam or a finisher.
Throwing An Opponent Through The Announcer's Table
- Carry slam through the announcer's table: with the opponent at the edge of the roof and their back to the announcer's table grab them with the Circle/B button, then press R1/RB+up on the R stick to place them into the Powerbomb position. Then press the A/X button to throw them through the announcer's table.
- Finisher through the announcer's table: certain wrestlers like John Cena and The Undertaker perform a finisher through the announcer's table by pressing the R2/RT+A/X near the edge of the cage.
The opponent will be stunned after the slam through the announcer's table. Finish them off by pressing the A/X button at the edge of the cell to hit a diving attack.
That's everything needed to get the most out of the Hell in a Cell match, recreate epic moments, and win the match in WWE 2K24.
