The Brazil ratings board has issued a rating for WWE 2K24, a game that has not actually been announced at the time of this writing, suggesting that its reveal could be imminent. WWE 2K24 would be the next installment in the long-running WWE 2K wrestling game franchise. Like most sports games, the WWE 2K titles have largely stuck to an annual release schedule, though there was a time when the franchise took a couple of years off.

WWE 2K20 reviews were widely negative, causing 2K to put the series on ice for a couple of years to improve the product. The end result was WWE 2K22, a game that was much more well-received, with developer Visual Concepts building on that for WWE 2K23. WWE 2K23 reviews were even better than WWE 2K22, and so many fans are anxiously awaiting WWE 2K24 to see what it has in store.

New Netflix Movie Features Unexpected Classic WWE Game Appearance

A new animated movie on the Netflix streaming service features an unexpected appearance from a classic licensed WWE wrestling game.

WWE 2K24 has not been announced yet, but the fact that it's received a rating from the Brazil ratings board (as reported by VGC) for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X means that an announcement will likely happen sooner rather than later. One possibility is that WWE 2K24 will be announced at The Game Awards 2023 on December 7, but the more likely scenario is that the game will be revealed at the Royal Rumble event in January.

Prior to the franchise's release schedule getting thrown out of whack, the tradition was for WWE video games to be showcased around SummerSlam every year and then released that following fall. Things have changed since the release of WWE 2K22, which instead released around WrestleMania season. WWE 2K23 was showcased around the Royal Rumble last year and then released the following March, and so chances are good that there are similar plans in place for WWE 2K24.

As it stands, the 2024 Royal Rumble event is scheduled to take place on January 27, 2024. This means that it's highly likely WWE 2K24 will be revealed within the next couple of months. Whenever it is announced, fans will likely be treated to a glimpse at the upgraded graphics and new features coming in the new game, though it's possible one big question will remain unanswered.

Many fans are wondering if WWE 2K24 will feature CM Punk on the roster. It may be too late to add Punk to the WWE 2K24 base game, but perhaps he will be included as DLC. Punk is easily one of the biggest and most-talked about wrestlers on WWE's current roster, though, so it would be a shame if he wasn't featured in the game. Ultimately, all fans can do is speculate about CM Punk and other WWE 2K24 details until the game is actually revealed to the masses.

WWE 2K23 promises to be both the biggest and best game in the franchise to date, with expanded features and a huge roster of current and former WWE Superstars. The game features multiple modes, including 3v3 and 4v4 multiplayer modes. In addition to causing carnage in the new WarGames mode, players can relive some of John Cena's most iconic moments in the ring courtesy of this year's Showcase mode.
