How to Win an Ambulance Match in WWE 2K24
Much like another returning match type in WWE 2K24, the Casket Match, an Ambulance Match requires that a wrestler trap their opponent in the back of the truck. Once a player has put their adversary in the ambulance and successfully closes both doors, the match is over, and the superstar left standing is declared the winner.
While the objective of winning an Ambulance Match, in theory, is relatively simple, it is not an easy feat to achieve, especially if you go up against any of the highest-rated wrestlers in the game. The match has no disqualifications, no count-outs, no pinfalls, and no submissions, so basically anything is allowed - including the use of weapons.
How to Put Your Opponent in The Ambulance
An Ambulance Match requires that players lock their opponents inside an ambulance, which is parked outside the ring at the end of the ramp. This match hasn't been used very much recently, but has been the dramatic climax of some heated rivalries between some of WWE's greatest legends.
There are multiple steps involved in being able to complete this victorious action, so you will want to take note of the following steps:
- Inflict a significant amount of damage to your opponent. The mini-game to close the doors in an Ambulance Match is far easier on a weakened and vulnerable opponent, and it is near-impossible to win with a fresh foe.
- To put your opponent in the ambulance, you will first need to be outside the ring with them and the ambulance doors need to be opened. You can open the truck doors by walking up to them and pressing the L1/LT button.
- Once outside with the doors open, grapple your standing opponent with the Circle/B Button and drag them to the back of the truck with L1/LT. This will cause your wrestler to lean their opponent against the ambulance.
- Press the L1/LT button when prompted to initiate a sequence where the opposing wrestler is thrown in the back of the ambulance and your superstar begins attempting to close the doors.
- You will need to complete two submission mini-games to win the match, one for each door of the ambulance.

How to Use Ambulance Doors as Weapons
In addition to being the objective to win the match, the ambulance in WWE 2K24 can also be used to inflict further punishment on your opponent. One of the ways in which you can do that is by slamming the doors on your adversary. It is a relatively easy process and can be done by completing the following actions:
- Ensure that the ambulance doors are closed and that you are outside the ring with your opponent.
- Grapple the other wrestler with Circle/B and drag them to the back of the ambulance with L1/LB.
- When prompted, press the Square/X button to attack your foe with the ambulance doors, which will trigger a short sequence where your wrestler will slam the door on their opponent's arm/shoulder area.
How to Throw Your Opponent Off The Ambulance
The most exciting feature of the Ambulance Match in WWE 2K24 is the ability to climb to the top of the truck and even perform moves that will send you or your opponent crashing to the ground. If you and your fellow competitor are on the top of the ambulance, there is an opportunity to not only throw them off the vehicle, but also perform a high-risk diving attack, without worrying about falling victim to a catch finisher, to inflict even more punishment.
Before you can do either of these, you will first need to climb the ambulance. This is a relatively easy action, and requires only that you approach the ladder on the side of the vehicle and press the R1/RB when indicated and your character will automatically climb for you. Once you and your opponent are up there, you will be able to throw them off the ambulance by completing the following steps:
- Grapple the opponent with Circle/B and press the Carry button (R1/RB).
- Carry your opponent to the back of the truck, towards the ring.
- Once you're at the end of the truck, press the indicated button and your wrestler will throw their rival from the top of the vehicle and onto the floor below.
Once you have thrown your opponent from the top of the truck, you can elect to perform a diving move as well. To do this, you will need to approach the back of the truck and press the Square/B or X/A button to trigger the diving attack.
Performing a diving attack is very high risk and requires that your opponent be within range. If you miss, your wrestler will suffer a significant amount of damage as a consequence.
