Avatar the Last Airbender helped to introduce a whole new generation of kids to the wonders of anime, with the show airing on Nickelodeon around the turn of the century. The series was heavily inspired by martial arts and Chinese culture and tells the story of Aang, a young Avatar capable of controlling the four elements. Boruto is the son of Naruto Uzumaki, and, like his father, the star of his very own anime series. Though not quite as popular as Naruto, Boruto still draws in plenty of readers and viewers each week, and a big part of that is down to the personal growth of the main protagonist throughout the series. AniGamerNX is clearly a fan, as evidenced by their decision to recreate Boruto in WWE 2K23's creation suite.

Ichigo Kurosaki has been through an awful lot over the years, yet continues to fight for what he believes is right. He overcomes plenty of powerful opponents throughout the course of Bleach, demonstrating phenomenal levels of power that few anime protagonists can match. This makes him a great fit for WWE 2K23's roster, and creator glorysosa does a wonderful job of bringing him to the game as a CaW.

Inosuke Hashibira (Demon Slayer)

The Demon Slayer anime took the world by storm when it debuted in April of 2019, helping to bring Koyoharu Gotouge's record-breaking manga to a brand-new audience. There are plenty of powerful characters in Demon Slayer, but Inosuke Hashibira is one of the very best. Having been raised by boars in the mountains, Inosuke is able to use a special breathing style known as Beast Breathing, which gives him access to a range of unstoppable techniques. Sadly, Beast Breathing doesn't exist in WWE 2K23, but Inosuke can still hold his own against some of the game's toughest Superstars.

Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia)

Deku has grown a lot throughout the course of My Hero Academia, both as a hero and as a person. Although he started the series Quirkless, he soon came to be in possession of One For All, which many consider to be the most powerful Quirk in all existence. Deku uses its power to overcome all sorts of obstacles and opponents, and can now do so in WWE 2K23 thanks once again to the impressive efforts of AniGamerNX.

Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul)

Kaneki serves as the main protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul. Unlike most other anime protagonists though, he's far from a hero, with a lot of his actions falling into that morally gray area between good and evil. Despite this, he can be pretty relatable at times, which is a big part of what makes both him and the series itself so compelling. Fans of either should definitely checkout MaskedPunk's Kaneki CaW, as it's easily one of the best custom Superstars based on anime characters in WWE 2K23.

Mai Sakurajima (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai)

Mai Sakurajima is an aspiring model in her third year of high school. Throughout the course of Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai, fans get to see her change from a serious and somewhat reserved girl into a kind and considerate young woman who's willing to sacrifice herself for those she cares about. UltimateOutsiderFriend does an excellent job of capturing Mai's iconic bunny-eared appearance in WWE 2K23, resulting in one of the best anime CaWs in the entire game.

Ryuko Matoi (Kill la Kill)

Ryuko Matoi is a certified badass and the main protagonist of Kill la Kill. When her father is murdered, she transfers to the mysterious Honnōji Academy in search of his killer, but ends up finding far more than she bargained for while there. It's an excellent series with an exceptional lead, which is likely why NukaDoomsday felt compelled to recreate Ryuko in WWE 2K23.

Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon)

From a series that borrows heavily from the Magical Girl genre to the one which really helped to define it, Sailor Moon needs no introduction. It's full to the brim with loveable characters, the most notable of which is Usagi Tsukino, a young girl capable of transforming into the titular Sailor Moon. Creator oligo did a brilliant job of creating Usagi in WWE 2K23, as well as several other characters from the popular anime series.

Saitama (One Punch Man)

Given that Saitama is one of the strongest anime characters of all time, it makes sense that fans would want to recreate him in WWE 2K23. Many have tried, but it is Stern who comes the closest, with their version of Saitama being instantly recognizable as the One Punch Man protagonist. Sadly, it'll take a lot more than just one punch to bring down the likes of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, but in the right hands, Saitama can still be every bit as deadly as he is in the popular anime and manga series.
