2K Sports has revealed the much anticipated WWE 2K23 rating for pro wrestler Sami Zayn amidst an ongoing push to have him included in the WrestleMania 39 championship picture. The ongoing story revolving around The Bloodline and Sami Zayn's role in the faction has become one of WWE's biggest draws. Whether that translates into a high WWE 2K23 rating for Zayn is another matter entirely, it seems. 2K may not have as high of an opinion of Zayn as WWE fans might.WWE is on a hot streak, unlike anything it has seen in years, with WWE Champion and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns standing at the head of the company. But it was when Sami Zayn joined Reigns' faction, The Bloodline, when the storyline truly grew exceptionally popular. Even now, after Zayn betrayed The Bloodline at this year's Royal Rumble and then lost a match against Reigns at the Elimination Chamber, fans continue to ask WWE to push Zayn like he's the star of the company.RELATED: WWE 2K23 Reveals Trish Stratus and Her Impressive Overall RatingIt seems that 2K Sports may have missed the past couple of WWE events, unfortunately. The publisher recently shared the WWE 2K23 rating for Sami Zayn on Twitter and it's going to make some fans very disappointed. The rating for Zayn is 84. While the WWE 2K franchise uses a scale of 1-to-100 for ratings, virtually every wrestler has a score between 70 and 100. Zayn's 84 rating is decidedly average, with that in mind.

Zayn isn't the only WWE wrestler to have his rating revealed recently. 2K Sports has also revealed a 75 rating for Rick Books, an 89 for AJ Styles, a 72 for R-Truth, an 82 for Rey Mysterio, 93 for Trish Stratus, and an 88 for the legend Chyna. Roman Reigns has also had his rating confirmed. It's a stunning 99. Many more ratings are expected to be shared in the coming days and weeks.

Looking at the ratings provided so far, it's sad to say that in the kayfabe of WWE 2K23 Sami Zayn never stood a chance against Roman Reigns. A 99 rating against an 84 is a very unfair balance. It's possible that WWE 2K23 is basing its ratings on the perception of wrestlers before Zayn recently got over, but considering 2K's promise of being in tune with ongoing WWE kayfabe that seems unlikely. It may be that 2K and WWE just don't view Zayn as a top-of-the-card talent, as silly as that might seem.

WWE 2K ratings don't matter as much as what fans want, though. If enough Zayn fans argue he deserves a ratings push, he might just get it. If enough Zayn fans want him at WrestleMania, he's all but certain to be there. Here's hoping the recently-returned Cody Rhodes' rating is shared soon, to see how the ex-AEW wrestler might fare against Reigns in the WrestleMania main event.

WWE 2K23 releases March 17 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
