Wresting legend Hulk Hogan has revealed his overall rating in the upcoming WWE 2K23. After WWE 2K22 saw the series take a year off, WWE 2K23 is the next iteration in the long-running franchise. The WWE 2K franchise has had a turbulent few years. After long-time developer Yuke's left the franchise in 2018, the honor was passed to Visual Concepts. The company's first release was the critically-savaged WWE 2K20, and subsequently, WWE 2K21 was canceled to give the series the attention it sorely needed. While WWE 2K22 wasn't a beloved title, it was still seen as a huge improvement over its predecessor and gave fans hope for the future of the franchise. Fans will be hoping the developer can create a pattern of improvement with each release. If it can, fans are in for a treat with WWE 2K23.RELATED: WWE 2K23 Reveals Cody Rhodes' EntranceHulk Hogan's WWE 2K23 rating reveal came on his official Twitter, where he showed off his impressive 94 rating. He enters the game on the legends roster, standing alongside other WWE legends such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and Chyna. In the build-up to the release of the game, Visual Concepts has been slowly revealing the legends roster for WWE 2K23, and so far, it's looking great. It's every wrestling fan's dream to pit the old-school stars against the current roster, and the game is shaping up to allow just that.

As the game nears release, developer Visual Concepts continues to reveal the ratings of various WWE superstars to build anticipation for the upcoming title. Most recently, WWE 2K23 revealed the rating of Sami Zayn, which doesn't come close to Hogan's. As a legend of WWE, there aren't many that will have as high a rating as Hulk Hogan, although it was recently revealed that star Roman Reigns will have an enormous 99 rating in-game. Hogan also featured in last year's WWE 2K22, although his rating was only 91, showing how his legacy within the scene continues to grow year-on-year.

Although the signs from last year's release were promising, Visual Concepts must continue to innovate and improve upon the WWE 2K formula. After WWE 2K20 came close to sinking the series forever, the company can't risk another disaster. For years, WWE 2K games have existed without competition, allowing a level of leniency among wrestling fans. However, as AEW: Fight Forever continues to reveal more features, there might be a worthy competitor at last. The hope for fans is that this results in better games going forward, and the healthy competition between WWE and AEW inspires plenty of creativity.

WWE 2K23 launches March 17 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
