Considering the televised product of WWE is still PG-friendly, matches like First Blood are a rarity and not officially one of the match types in WWE 2K23. Even though the WWE shows have a slightly edgier product since Triple H took over as the leading booker, blood is rare on the PPVs, Raw, and Smackdown!

The more violent matches, like the ECW match between RVD and Cena, and those that used to take place during the Attitude Era, like Hardcore rules and First Blood, are a rarity or non-existent. The blood feature in WWE 2K23 is off by default in the settings. Thankfully, the developers at Visual Concepts have kept it in and the ability to have more violent matches like First Blood if players know where to look.
