The Survivor Series PPV is considered one of the big four in the WWE events next to the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and SummerSlam. Even though the arena is available in WWE 2K23, the match isn't available by default. Thanks to the customization options available to fans, they can create their custom Survivor Series matches and include them in the Universe modes and one-on-one contests.
The Survivor Series match is an elimination tag team match. The objective is to eliminate the opposing team members one-by-one via pinfall or submission to determine the winners. Players can create elimination matches for six-man and eight-man tag team contests in WWE 2K23. Even though there have been ten-man eliminations in the past, there is no way to recreate that in the game.
Creating The Survivor Series Match
There are two ways to create a Survivor Series match in WWE 2K23. Players can save it as a custom match to use later. Or they can pop into match options before starting a match and change the stipulation to create the elimination tag.
The Quick Way
- In the main menu, select Play.
- In Match Type, Select 6-Man or 8-Man.
- Ensure the match rules are set to Normal.
- Select the arena - Survivor Series for authenticity.
- Press Confirm.
- Press the Triangle/Y button to select Match Options.
- Select Custom Match Rules.
- Ensure Pin or Submission is down as Both and press Accept.
- Switch Elimination to On.
- Select the teams and start the match.
Saving Custom Matches
Players can also set the Survivor Series Match as a permanent Custom Match in addition to preset matches like the Hell in a Cell. Highlight Creations and use the following steps:
- Select Custom Matches in the Creations Menu.
- Select New.
- Select 6-Man or 8-Man matches.
- Select Tag Team.
- Press Accept.
- Ensure Pin or Submission is down as Both and press Accept. Players can include KOs, DQs, Ring Outs, or a Falls Count Anywhere scenario.
- Switch Elimination toOn.
- Press Accept.
- Players can choose whether the team starts the match with stored finishers and low, medium, or high health. Big multiperson contests can be lengthy, so one may prefer to set the finishers to 3 and the default health to low or medium.
- Press Accept.
- Now, players can choose the weapons that are hidden under the ring.
- Press Accept and Select Name.
- Now players can save their custom match as Survivor Series and Save.
There are some reports that the 8-Man tags aren't selectable in Custom Match types for the PC and the PS5. However, Visual Concepts are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. In the meantime use the quick method or select the 6-Man elimination instead. The Elimination matches are a great way to play out rivalries between multiple WWE Superstars.
