WWE 2K22 is less than a week away from launch, and sports entertainment fans are anxious to get back to the franchise. Over the past month, WWE has been marketing WWE 2K22 with a trickle of information, first sharing ratings for WWE pro wrestlers like Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, then for the full roster, and more recently focusing on key features. In the latest video from WWE, pro wrestler and G4 host Xavier Woods delves into the intricacies of WWE 2K22's MyGM game mode.

MyGM is a popular mode in the WWE 2K franchise that allows players to book their own shows over an extended period of time. Players are able to pick which shows they want to produce, including WWE Raw, SmackDown, or NXT, which matches are fought during their shows, which pro wrestlers get to do promos, and what stories are told across multiple shows. It's all in effort to build the audience of the player's promotion, bring in more money, and become the most successful GM of all time.

Xavier Woods, along with a crew of WWE wrestlers including Ricochet, Shayna Baszler, and Shelton Benjamin, go through running the first week of shows in MyGM Mode. A single week of shows may seem like relatively little, but with all the tutorials, it takes Xavier Woods around 35 minutes to complete. What Xavier Woods does well is show that the mode is not a standard wrestling match style or experience, by any means. It's a mode played through menus almost entirely.

Still, for WWE fans who are interested in show booking, MyGM should offer exactly what they're looking for. Xavier Woods is able to book SmackDown matches between Shinsuke Nakamura and Finn Balor, Tucker and Johnny Gargano, and a Hell in a Cell match between Tamina and Becky Lynch. Hilariously, the Nakamura vs. Balor match gets rated just one star, likely because they're both good guys and don't have a rivalry. The crowd loves Tamina and Becky Lynch, though.

In the end, Xavier Woods' two-show week results in a net gain of $27,108 due to income from a network television deal, ticket sales, and ad revenue. For a pro wrestling card thrown together as fast as possible, it worked out pretty well. Either that, or Xavier Woods would make for a pretty great WWE GM.

Across multiple weeks, Xavier Woods would be able to recruit more and more free agent pro wrestlers to bring into his shows, would be able to train his wrestlers to be stronger performers, and would be able to build rivalries that would draw larger audiences. He wasn't able to get to that in the MyGM video, but it just shows how much depth WWE 2K22 players can expect if they decide to pick the game up next week.

WWE 2K22 arrives March 11 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
