WWE 2K22 marks the anticipated return for the 2K wrestling games, allowing players to pick from their favorite WWE superstars and wrestle in multiple types of matches. Considering the reputation previous WWE 2K games had for glitches and bugs that could ruin the experience, the sports-entertainment company took some time off from yearly releases in order to ensure that the current version of the game was as solid as ever.

So far, WWE 2K22 has been hailed as a big step forwards for the franchise. Many are leaving the game with positive reviews, though there are some complaints players are having with the game. One such complaint revolves around the fact that some bugs and glitches are still present within WWE 2K22, though admittedly they aren't as game breaking as they once were. Reddit user TyFinesse showed how the glitches present in WWE 2K22 can actually be hilarious when discovered.

In the clip posted to Reddit, the player is in the middle of a match between legendary WWE wrestlers John Cena and Brock Lesnar, when suddenly the referee seems to glitch out. Though the referee only appears for a short moment in the clip, he can be seen sprinting around in circles, unable to do his job as the player goes for a pin. The pin isn't counted, as the referee has a complete breakdown in the middle of the ring. This glitch didn't prove too problematic for TyFinesse, as the player commented they were able to get the match going again with a quick restart, leaving many seeing the glitch as a funny moment of a referee briefly losing his mind.

Other comments in the Reddit post discussed the glitch, and how it is still considered to simply be a part of the WWE 2K games. Some though, found it strange that a glitch had even appeared in the game, with one user claiming they'd played for dozens of hours without encountering something like this. Mostly, whether players were encountering glitches or not, it was reported by much of the comments that WWE 2K22 still stood out as one of the best games in the series.

Despite glitches involving referees who just can't wait to get their cardio in, some other problems have been encountered with players in WWE 2K22. Notably and recently, there were some server issues which resulted in players having no access to the online game modes available. Still, it seems WWE 2K22 is an improvement on previous titles, though it still has its own issues.

WWE 2K22 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
