With WWE 2K22 being out for a little while, the community has got to grips with the new creation suite, and the community suite is already full of awesome creations. With the game now allowing creations to be shared cross-platform, players have more options than ever to download custom stars for wrestlers not in the game.
The other wrestling company that has the most hype behind it right now is undoubtedly AEW. Ever since starting in 2019, plenty of fans have flocked to them as an alternative to WWE, and AEW's wrestlers are just as big stars; in fact, several of them are former WWE superstars. AEW has their own game on the horizon, but until then, WWE 2K22 is the only place to play as them.
8 Andrade El Idolo

Andrade is one of the stars who was cut from the game after WWE between the releases of WWE 2K20 and WWE 2K22. He joined AEW pretty quickly after his WWE exit and has been doing quite well for himself.
After targeting Cody Rhodes for a little while, Andrade allied himself with Matt Hardy, but unfortunately failed to win the TNT Championship with his aid. Now, he has overthrown Matt Hardy as the leader of his faction and is feuding with him alongside the freshly debuted Jeff Hardy.
7 Britt Baker

An AEW original, Britt Baker has been the face of the company's women's division since day one. Her character work is immaculate, playing the cool bad-guy that people can't help but love. On top of that, she has been killing it in the ring, putting on some groundbreaking matches with a variety of opponents.
Baker won the AEW Women's Championship in 2021, and carried it with pride throughout the year, putting down every challenger that came her way. Eventually, long-time rival Thunder Rosa caught up to Baker, beating her for the championship on the Saint Patrick's Day edition of AEW Dynamite. Thankfully, WWE 2K22 contains an entrance setting based on her performance, although it isn't labeled as such for legal reasons.
6 Chris Jericho

The man with so many nicknames that recounting them all would take longer than his famous list of 1000 holds, Chris Jericho was one of the major stars who put AEW on the map. After working for WWE for over a decade, it seemed like he'd be there for life, and the wresting world was shocked when Y2J was announced to have signed with AEW in 2019.
Unsurprisingly, Jericho was the first AEW World Champion, and embraced a wonderful heel persona alongside his faction, the Inner Circle. He has gone through a few different phases since losing the championship, turning face again to face MJF, but recently turned heel again after losing to Eddie Kingston. As a WWE Legend, there are plenty of classic matches fans may want to recreate with this custom creation, such as Jericho's classic feud with Shawn Michaels.
5 Brodie Lee

A man who will be forever remembered by AEW and its wrestlers as he was sadly taken from the world far too soon. After making his name in WWE, Brodie Lee grew unhappy, becoming one of the earliest to defect to AEW. There, he led the Dark Order as The Exalted One.
Brodie Lee won the TNT Championship from Cody Rhodes, culminating in a memorable Dog Collar match on Dynamite. That was his last match before his passing, and AEW has honored his memory ever since. The man's influence is still clear to see in the wrestlers today.
4 Jon Moxley

One of the most high-profile defections from WWE, Jon Moxley was one of the first to showcase how much better he could be as a wrestler without the perceived shackles WWE puts on performers. Coming in with a new edge and attitude fans hadn't seen in far too long, his accent to the world championship was just a matter of time.
Moxley carried the title for almost a year, having one of the best word title reigns in recent memory during it. He reinvented himself and had amazing matches with anyone who stepped up to him, helping to make real stars in the process. He has recently formed a team with Bryan Danielson under William Regal, to tear through the company once more.
3 Bryan Danielson

While most who left WWE in favor of AEW felt unhappy at their former company, Bryan Danielson is one of the few to heap praise upon the Dub after he left. After performing in the main event of WrestleMania in 2021, Bryan Danielson felt AEW was the exciting place to be.
Danielson showed up in the company that summer, and has put on a whole host of 5-star matches since then with AEW originals. He took both Kenny Omega and Hangman Page to time limit draws, and recently had a fantastic match with Jon Moxley, before being brought together as a team by William Regal.
2 Thunder Rosa

The woman who has shared the spotlight with Britt Baker at the top of the AEW women's division, Thunder Rosa came in to AEW from the NWA in 2020. She had a heated feud with Hikaru Shida, and eventually signed with AEW full-time, immediately tearing it up with anyone and everyone.
Rosa's most famous bout was her Lights Out match with Britt Baker, where both women broke boundaries by having a bloody hardcore match that was almost universally praised. She has recently been crowned AEW Women's Champion, and confirmed for the upcoming AEW game, so there's a fantastic reign ahead of her.
1 Kenny Omega

Undoubtedly the wrestler many see as the true face of AEW, Kenny Omega has been a big deal in the wrestling world for many years now, and he continues to live up to his reputation as one of the best. After helping New Japan Pro Wrestling grow its audience in the US, Omega spearheaded the creation of AEW alongside Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks.
To list all of Omega's great matches would be doing his entire body of work a disservice because there's just too many to count. After having a great reign as the AEW World Champion as a heel, Omega completed his years-long story with Hangman Page, losing the title in a blaze of glory. He has taken some time off to heal injuries since then, but he's sure to make an immediate impact whenever the time comes.
