Yinlin is one of the few characters in Wuthering Waves that players look forward to, due to her appearance in the CBT. Before she was released, the community roared about her being the ultimate support for Calcharo, but since CBT doesn't represent the final version of a Resonator, it's understandable that the developer made some changes to Yinlin's kit.

Wuthering Waves: Yinlin Build Guide

The community expected her to be a support, but Yinlin build in Wuthering Waves leans towards damage dealing instead.

Yinlin still plays well with Calcharo, but her kit mostly revolves around damage-dealing, so specifically bringing Calcharo into her team can be unnecessary, given she fares well as a damage-dealer herself and works well with other DPS units. 4 Yinlin + Calcharo + Verina

Calcharo's "Best Support"

While Yinlin excels at damage dealing, she’s still capable of working with other characters, like Calcharo in Wuthering Waves. Their synergy shines because of Yinlin’s Outro Skill that grants him a whopping 45% extra DMG. Verina joins them because of her universal buff that works on both of them as they share maining the DPS of the team.

In this Yinlin team comp, she’s very versatile and can do a lot with any given field time. As for Calcharo, even if Yinlin didn’t have her Outro Skill ready, you can still swap between the two DPS repeatedly to use all their kits as you build their Concerto energy. It's important to tag enemies with her Punishment Mark before switching to Calcharo to allow Yinlin to deal off-field DMG alongside him. The long Calcharo rotation starts when Yinlin’s Outro Skill and Judgment Marks are ready since it will be his time to unleash his Resonance Liberation and go berserk for the next few seconds.

3 Yinlin + Jianxin + Verina

Yinlin As The Star

Going for a more classical Yinlin team in Wuthering Waves, you can make the most of Yinlin’s AoE DMG by adding Jianxin to her team. In this Yinlin team, she will play with two Supports, each having their own role. Jianxin collects enemies with her Resonance Liberation while shielding the team. She also insanely buffs Yinlin’s Resonance Liberation, which is one of Yinlin’s best attacks. As for Verina, she offers a huge amount of ATK% and DMG% buffs for Yinlin while operating as an emergency healer if things aren’t going well.

Jianxin isn't only a Support in this team, she can synergize with Yinlin to deal a massive amount of DMG when charging up her shield through her Heavy ATK. When marking enemies with Yinlin's Judgment Mark, switch to Jianxin and use her Heavy ATK to cause a combo of Aero and Electro DMG to hit enemies non-stop.

2 Yinlin + Mortefi + Any DPS

Yinlin has the ability to provide an off-field DMG for around 18 seconds after she marks enemies with her Judgment Mark. Even if Yinlin’s team can only attack a single target while she marked multiple ones, she's still going to coordinate her attacks on all enemies, which is amazing. On the other hand, Mortefi in Wuthering Waves, especially on his S4, can also deal tons of off-field DMG through his Resonance Liberation.

Now add a main DPS who can maximize the amount of DMG both Sub-DPS units can deal, and you have a very offensive team that can clear content in no time. While this team lacks sustainability, it’s still an extremely powerful team that has three characters attacking at the same time for over 10 seconds non-stop.

Jianxin is an ideal choice to join this Yinlin team since she offers sustainability while performing her Heavy ATK. Once the field is set for Jianxin, the three characters will create a beautiful visual of what looks like fireworks while they're deleting enemies.

1 Yinlin + Taoqi + Baizhi

F2P Friendly Team

Yinlin also works in many F2P teams because of her ability to deal DMG with all her kit. One of the best F2P characters to have in her team is Taoqi in Wuthering Waves. She suffers from some performance issues as she takes a long amount of time to activate her Outro Skill, but she can still rotate well with Yinlin and provide some sustain to the team. When Taoqi’s Outro Skill is ready, she grants Yinlin a 38% extra DMG on her Resonance Skill, which is extremely useful for her overall DPS.

For the third character in this F2P Yinlin team, go for Verina, Baizhi, or even Yangyang. Verina and Baizhi offer more sustain while they buff Yinlin’s DPS, as for Yangyang, Taoqi can have enough sustainability to allow the team to have one more non-sustain Resonator.

Wuthering Waves: Dreamless Boss Guide (H81 Echo)

Players missing the H81 Echo in their Wuthering Waves Data Bank can head to the Dreamless weekly boss fight and try to get the H81 Echo there.

You can also switch Taoqi for Mortefi since he can operate as an off-field Sub-DPS with his Resonance Liberation. He can also buff Yinlin’s Heavy ATK, which is also one of her best DMG-dealing attacks. However, Mortefi is an offensive Resonator, so if he joins Yinlin’s team, it’s better to include Baizhi or Verina for more team sustain.
