Currently, all Winter Brume weapons (Abyss Surges, Cosmic Ripples, Emerald of Genesis, Lustrous Razor, and Static Mist) are considered S-tier in Wuthering Waves. Besides these rare items, the next best weapons are their 4-star equivalents: Stonard, Comet Flare, Scale: Slasher, Dauntless Evernight, and Undying Flame.

Commando of Conviction and Lumingloss, on the other hand, provide the player with sheer ATK DMG buffs that are crucial for intense boss fights.

Broadblades

  • Wielders: Calcharo, Jiyan, Taoqi

The ideal Broadblade in Wuthering Waves is the Dauntless Evernight unless the player has access to the Lustrous Razor. If neither is obtainable, solid replacements include Autumntrace and Broadblade #41. Discord and Helio Cleaver are also reliable in early-game battles. Dauntless Evernight is an overall great option because it comes with an 8% ATK boost and a whopping 15% DEF buff upon unleashing the character's Intro Skill.

Gauntlets

  • Wielders: Jianxin, Lingyang, Yuanwu

Outside of Winter Brume’s Abyss Surge, the best Gauntlet in the game is the Stonard. The 15-second Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus buff that the Stonard provides makes it one of the best-in-class options. If the Stonard is not feasible, players can rely on Amity Accord, Hollow Mirage, and Marcato. Beginners without a top-tier Gauntlet can craft Gauntlet #21D, which can carry them for a good portion of the story.

Pistols

  • Wielders: Aalto, Chixia, Mortefi

In the Pistol class, the most powerful guns are Undying Flame and Cadenza. Since both are rare drops in Wuthering Waves, players can replace them with Novaburst, Thunderbolt, or the craftable Pistol #26. However, what makes these two pistols great is that they both exploit the Resonator's Resonance Skill; one utilizes it to restore Concerto Energy, while the other boosts its DMG Bonus by 20% for 15s.

Rectifiers

  • Wielders: Baizhi, Encore, Yinlin, Verina

The best Rectifier in Wuthering Waves is undoubtedly the Cosmic Ripple. However, since this weapon is difficult to unlock, a good alternative is the Comet Flare. This accessible Rectifier heals the wielder every time their Basic or Heavy Attacks land. If neither is available, players should use the Augment, Jinzhou Keeper, Variation, or Rectifier #25.

How to Pick the Best Weapon for any Resonator

As a general rule, choose a Resonator’s exclusive weapon or the Winter Brume variant of their current weapon. If these aren't available, upgrade a 4-Star or better weapon in the Resonator’s class, considering the buffs. Each weapon has a base enhancement that affects specific stats.
