The limited banner in Wuthering Waves features a 5-star character that can only be obtained while the banner is available. On Wuwa's release in version 1.0, the first convene banner available is Jiyan, an Aero character that wields the Broadblade. Many compare him to Xiao from Genshin Impact, but in truth, except for their similar color scheme and elements, their gameplay is very different.

Best Jiyan Echoes In Wuthering Waves

Building Jiyan with 5pc of Sierra Gale in Wuthering Waves greatly increases his Aero DMG, which is the element he inflicts on all his attacks. For his main Echo, go for Feilian Beringal since it’s hurtful to his enemies with a 12% buff to his Aero and Heavy ATK DMG, both of which are Jiyan's main source of DMG.

If you had no luck finding a good set of Sierra Gale, build Jiyan with 5pc of Lingering Tunes as it greatly raises his ATK. Additionally, for easier building, match the sets together to build Jiyan with 10% Aero DMG and 10% ATK% until you find better Echoes for him.

Best Jiyan Weapons In Wuthering Waves

Unsurprisingly, Verdant Summit is Jiyan’s best weapon in Wuthering Waves since it’s his signature weapon. His BiS grants him Crit DMG as a secondary stat followed by a ridiculous amount of DMG on his Heavy ATK. Lustrous Razor is a good top-tier Broadblade that comes after and can maintain the high DPS Jiyan is capable of doing.

After Jiyan’s best 5-star weapons, Autumntrace and Helios Cleaver are decent choices for 4-star weapons. Autumntrace is a Pioneer Podcast (Battle Pass) weapon with a Crit Rate sub-stat, while Helios Cleaver can continuously increase Jiyan’s ATK.

How To Play Jiyan In Wuthering Waves

Jiyan is easily one of the best DPS in Wuthering Waves. His entire kit excellently comes together to create synergy between hard-hitting DMG and heavy CC. When using Jiyan’s Basic ATK, it will fill his Forte Gauge that buff both his Resonance Skill and Liberation. When using any of both Resonances, you will consume 50% of the Forte Gauge and enhance their damage.

That being said, Rovers should always prioritize consuming the Gauge for the Resonance Liberation since the Forte Gauge massively increases its DMG, while his Skill will still maintain its DMG buff within Jiyan’s Qingloong Mode duration.

Jiyan Forte Priority In Wuthering Waves

Jiyan deals most of his DMG through his enhanced Heavy ATK activated by his Resonance Liberation. His Resonance Skill is not bad either, as it contributes to his total DPS. For that, prioritize leveling up his Resonance Liberation and follow it up with leveling his Skill. Having an insane scaling on both his Resonances is not a reason to neglect his Basic ATK as it’s decent enough to deserve to be leveled up as well. As for his Intro Skill, it doesn’t have any positive or negative effect on his DPS, so it can be left unleveled.
