Lustrous Tides are one of the most important resources in Wuthering Waves. This precious item is essential for summoning characters and weapons from the standard banner(s), akin to the Acquaint Fate in Genshin Impact. Players use Lustrous Tides to try their luck in acquiring powerful heroes and gear, which are crucial for progressing through the game's challenges.

Crystal Solvent is a limited resource in Wuthering Waves, however there are some consistent ways of getting it.

In Wuthering Waves, obtaining a strong roster of characters and high-quality weapons is quite helpful for tackling tough domains, defeating formidable bosses, and enjoying the game's myriad activities. Gathering and wisely using Lustrous Tides, (as well as Radiant Tides) can significantly enhance your ability to summon the best heroes and weapons, thereby boosting players overall gameplay experience while gathering fan-favourite characters. Nevertheless, there are a few aspects players should pay attention to, in order to make a good decision while obtaining and using them.

How to Get Lustrous Tides in Wuthering Waves

There are a few ways of getting Lustrous Tides in Wuthering Waves. However, most of the methods mentioned are not repeatable, and rather one-time rewards, so players should try obtaining all of them without missing out on certain content.

Delivering Sonance Caskets: Casket Delivery rewards on levels 1,2, and 6 provide Lustroud Tides, meaning players should be exploring the world and collecting these items as much as possible, beside collecting Supply Chests to be able to obtain valuable resources. Currently the max Casket Delivery Level is Level 10, however, there may be other levels in the future that can provide Lustrous Tides as well.
Souvenir Shop: Players can exchange Wood-textured Shards, which obtained through exploring and opening Supply Chests at the The Souvenir Shop in Jinzhou City for a total of 5 Lustrous Tides.
Item Shop Exchange: On each scheduled version update or month, players will be able to use their Oscillate Corals to redeem 6 Lustrous Tides, 6 Radiant Tides, and 6 Forging Tides. Considering its limitations, while Oscillate Corals are relatively easy to accumulate as players use Convene, they should ensure they do not miss out on claiming these three resources whenever they are available. Additionally, players can use Aftershock Corals or Asterites (in Tidal Exchange under the same tab) to redeem Lustrous Tides. However, this is not recommended since Radiant Tides and Forging Tides are much more valuable for limited characters or weapons.
Leveling up Pioneer Podcast: Players will be able to obtain up to 5 Lustrous Tides by levelling the Battle Pass, one each 10 levels until the Level 50. Luckily, players won't need to purchase the Insider Channel specifically for Lustrous Tides, however, if they unlock, they will also be able to obtain Radiant Tides in addition.
Union Level Rewards:Increasing Union Level also allows players to claim a substantial amount of Lustrous Tides through Level Bundles and the Awakening Journey. In the Awakening Journey, players can collect a total of 40 Lustrous Tides by reaching Union Level 35. Additionally, they can obtain 30 more Lustrous Tides from the Supply Packs by reaching levels 10, 20, and 30 under the Bundles section in the Store.
Developer System Mails: Players have also received a significant number of Lustrous Tides through mail, either to celebrate certain milestones such as reaching 30 million downloads or as compensation for specific bug fixes. While this method is not guaranteed to provide Lustrous Tides in the future, players can anticipate similar rewards for compensations or special occasions.

How to Use Lustrous Tides in Wuthering Waves

Players simply need to head to the Convene screen and use Lustrous Tides on Permanent Banners (Tidal Chorus for Characters and Winter Brume for Weapons after choosing desired weapon type), as well as the Beginner's Choice Banners. It's recommended that players first complete the Beginner's Choice Banners and then decide whether they are interested in acquiring a new 5-star character or weapon. It's worth noting that while players have the chance to obtain standard 5-star characters while pulling on limited-character banners due to the pity mechanic, they will not be able to obtain standard 5-star weapons through any gacha other than Winter Brume. That being the case, players may want to opt for using their Lustrous Tides on weapons if they wish to do so instead.

It's also worth noting that if players do not have enough Lustrous Tides, they will be prompted in the Convene screen to convert Asterites to proceed with the pulls. However, players should refrain from doing this as much as possible since saving up this resource and pulling on Limited Banners for upcoming limited characters may prove to be more valuable in the long run.
