What Is Ascension in Wuthering Waves?
Ascension is the cap breaker for level-ups. Once a Resonator reaches a certain level, they are considered maxed out unless the player chooses to ascend them. Ascension necessitates Resonator-exclusive materials and can be done up to six times for each Resonator.
How to Ascend a Resonator in Wuthering Waves
From the Resonators menu, choose a character and continue leveling them up until they reach the upgrade cap. Once reached, the “Level Up” option will be replaced by Ascension, which demands its own unique materials. Each ascension shatters the current level-up cap, enabling further upgrades for that specific Resonator.
Certain characters may necessitate rare ascension materials obtainable exclusively by completing main missions. For instance, during their progression, Rover may require the Mysterious Code, attainable by conquering campaign quests or by delivering Sonance Caskets to the Relic Merchant.
How to Break the Ascension Cap (SOL3 Phase Level)
At a certain point, players may encounter restrictions on ascending Resonators due to their SOL3 Phase Level. To eliminate this limitation, they must elevate their Union Level by 20 levels. With each advancement, their SOL3 Phase Level progresses, enabling further ascensions for all characters.
How to Complete Ascension Challenges in Wuthering Waves
Once the Union Level has been increased by 20 levels, an Ascension Challenge becomes available. To undertake this challenge, players must proceed to the designated location on the map (near Jinzhou city) and defeat the spawned enemies within the allocated time.
Completion of Ascension Challenges is the sole method to confirm the rank-up of the SOL3 Phase Level. Until this challenge is conquered, the player's Union Level will not advance.
How to Get Resonance Potions in Wuthering Waves
Players can obtain Resonance Potions primarily by looting Chests or as rewards for defeating enemies. However, a reliable alternative is purchasing them from the Souvenir Store in Jinzhou, situated near the Shifang Pharmacy.
At this particular shop, players can exchange Wood-textured Shards for Resonance Potions. However, since these shards are rare, players are advised against trading them for EXP potions unless it's crucial for their progress.
How to Unlock a Resonator’s Resonance Chain in Wuthering Waves
Resonance Chain is linked to the number of duplicates (Dupes) the player possesses of a particular Resonator. To unlock the chain, the Dupe (a copy of the same character) must be merged with them. This merging process can be carried out in the Resonance Chain menu under each Resonator’s Echoes.
The primary means of acquiring Dupes of a Resonator is by pulling from the Convene Banners. It's important to note that each Resonator can have a maximum of six active Resonance Chains, and once activated, their effects are irreversible. Players cannot reroll the effects, as they are predetermined for all characters.
How to Unlock Fortes for Each Resonator in Wuthering Waves
Fortes represent each Resonator’s Skill Tree. To unlock them, the player must reach a specific ascension level. Once the Resonator reaches the required ascension level, new Fortes can be obtained in exchange for ascension materials. With each level-up of a Forte, a particular aspect of the Resonator’s stats is enhanced by a certain percentage.
