Wuthering Waves developer Kuro Games has recently announced that the team is planning to make all story content skippable in the future. Wuthering Waves was released earlier this week, and it has received mixed impressions as fans praised its combat system, but complained about bugs during its launch.
The story of Wuthering Waves is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a major event called the Lament destroyed most of the society, bringing monsters into the world. The protagonist of Wuthering Waves is a recently awakened male or female character called Rover, and gamers will take on the role of exploring the world and trying to uncover more information about their past. However, it seems that the developers are keen on giving players the freedom to completely ignore this storyline.

Now, the developers of the Genshin Impact-inspired Wuthering Waves revealed that they already have a few plans on what kind of content will be introduced to the action RPG soon. The most noteworthy change is that the devs are planning on allowing players to skip all story content in an upcoming update, which does not have an official release date. According to them, this decision would give players more control over gameplay, as they won’t need to sit through story scenes unless they want to. Kuro Games also confirmed that the Company Story for Resonator Yinlin will be available “soon,” and that the team is currently working on making combat even more satisfying.
Wuthering Waves Developer Offers Compensation For Rocky Launch
Before this announcement, Kuro Games revealed that it would compensate the community for the rocky launch of Wuthering Waves. Soon after the release, the game had all kinds of issues, including visual glitches, and sound problems such as voice lines being cut off during dialogue. To appease the player base, Kuro Games is offering 10 Lustrous Tides for any player who reaches Union Level 2 until July 3.
Wuthering Waves was recently released, and gamers who are about to try it for the first time can unlock a special prize if they play the game using the Epic Games Store. Epic is currently giving away the Wuthering Waves Echo Starter Pack for free, allowing players to gain items that give them more experience and gacha-related items by playing on the platform. To get these items, players have to download both the game and the Echo Starter Pack from the Epic Games Store by June 13, and then request the items in the game.
