Echoes in Wuthering Waves are a type of equipment that Rovers can use with their characters. They provide a significant advantage in battle, and like most RPGs, require proper farming to obtain decent stats. The Echoes in Wuthering Waves are the boss type and fall under the classification of either Overlord or Calamity.
The Bell-Borne Geochelone Boss is one of them and is classed as a 4- cost Echo when absorbed. Once players manage to tackle this ginormous turtle, they can receive a variety of rewards. One of them being the Monument Bell. The enemy ranks as a Weekly Boss Challenge, meaning players can only farm rewards from it once a week, as it is used to upgrade Resonance Skills.
Wuthering Waves: All Echoes, Abilities, & Sonata Effects
There are many different Echoes that can be obtained in Wuthering Waves, each offering various perks or Sonata Effects.
How To Defeat The Bell-Borne Geochelone Boss
The Bell-Borne Geochelone can be found in the sub-area called Tolling Stream. You can teleport to the Huanglong-Gorge of Spirits Resonance Beacon and head west to find it in the water.
The boss is basically a gigantic turtle with a bell on its back. It deals significant Glacio DMG and Physical DMG through vibration attacks, which can easily shave off your character's HP, so keep in mind to follow these steps when entering a fight with it.
Avoid The Falling Icicles
Sometime during the fight, the Bell-Borne Geochelone will shift into a long range icicle attack which will deal a lot of damage. The icicles will fall from above and target specific areas on the ground. Players can watch the vibrations in the water and aim to move away before being hit.
Aim For The Head And Bell
These two parts of the Bell-Borne Geochelone are its weaknesses and are more susceptible to canceling out its vibration attacks. You should try and attack the Bell any moment possible during the fight. Hitting it enough times will eventually break it and deal damage to the Geochelone’s shield. This will immobilize it during the fight, and you can then deal as many attacks as you can before it gets up.
The same thing can be said for the head. Once you do manage to get enough attacks in, the Bell-Borne Geochelone will fall again, allowing you to deal attacks more easily.
Keep An Eye Out For Frontal And Tail Attacks
The Bell-Borne Geochelone boss is pretty slow, which is why it’s easier to predict its movements and get ready for any attacks. It deals two attacks on both sides, one of which is a spinning tail attack where the Bell-Borne Geochelone readies itself to jump up and spin its body - using its tail to smack characters off their feet. The second tail attack is the one where it slams its tail into the ground and releases vibrations that deals Glacio DMG.
Its frontal attacks are pretty easy to predict as well, but are slightly faster than usual. It uses its head to:
- Roar loud enough that the vibrations push characters back and deal damage.
- Slam its head on the ground back and forth.
You can counteract these by either dodging and grappling into the air to stay clear.
Wuthering Waves: All Special Enemies Locations
Amongst the many enemies in Wuthering Waves, Rovers can test out their skills with the special enemies that range in difficulty.
Attack The Ice Armour
In addition to Bell and its head, the Bell-Borne Geochelone’s Ice Armour is also its weakness. It is easier for players to stay under the boss and attack its legs - however, this can also be a little risky as you cannot clearly see what attack it will do next. Just keep focusing on attacking the ice armor around its body, and you should be able to break the shield.
Bell-Borne Geochelone Material Drops
The Bell-Borne Geochelone drops can only be claimed using 60 Waveplates each week. It also gives you the Monument Bell, which can be used for Resonance Skill upgrades, as well as some Weapon Molds and Shell Credits.
